Vision Center At Walmart

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME if i could give DR J.CHAN TAPOVETI a -0 star I would!! She is the rudest eye doctor ive ever had to deal with!!! When I called to asked if there was a mistake on my prescription or not because i had placed an order for my contacts online (they email asking if there was a mistake on the prescription) i have an autoimmune disease that effects my eyes and causes severe pain to the point most days i can barely get out of bed or drive myself anywheres . Having me drive back and forth for nonsense that could have been just said to me over the phone when i have severe health issues is just ridiculous to me!! stress is a HUGE trigger for my disease so she isn’t helping by stressing me more!! She proceeded to raise her voice talking over me while i try to explain on why i had to order online ,being sick , constant pain ,an unable to drive ! I didnt want to be left without contacts as i explained i had no contact left other then what i had in my eyes , i cannot wear glasses because they hurt the bridge of my nose do to a surgery i had on my nose. She was angry that i had even placed an order online and not bought from her! Telling me they had better cheaper prices when she didnt even know what i paid online in the first place! I did look at Walmart prices an they certainly weren’t cheaper . She went on about a rebate, i dont have time to apply for rebates waiting for money back when i had already found it cheaper online and was able to direct bill so it cost me less then $200 for 12 mths She refused to tell me if she had made a mistake on my prescription or not because i didnt order from her and i couldn’t drive myself there.!! She barely even let me speak and then she hangup on me!!! Absolutely disgusted how she even spoke to me , im glad i seen her true side, money hungry , rude , miserable doctor who thinks shes above everyone! LEARN TO BE KIND UNDERSTANDING , RESPECTFUL (especially when I definitely wasnt being disrespectful i tried explaining to her on why i ordered online and why i couldn’t drive myself there ! maybe she should learn how to control that anger an rudeness?!?! People go other places to order frames/contacts all the time it shouldn’t have been such a big deal as she made it out to be!! The frames there su$k they dont have many options and half of them arent even nice thats why others GO ELSEWHERE and most likely from the misrable rude doctor also! I had an appointment booked for my fiance also but i called back an cancelled it !! We dont mind bringing our money elsewhere! She need an attitude adjustment , maybe she shouldnt be an eye doctor if shes that miserable at her job ,simple as that!!! Costco has better prices also the doctor there is very knowledgeable respectful and caring! I only went to this vision center because there was no wait and able to get in same day calling, which now i see why they arent busy and why i was able to get an appointment same day because who wants to deal with dr chan misrable attitude??!! ITS NOT BUSY FOR A REASON lol

Fair pricing .great selection.. Re regardless of what insurance coverage you have they treat everyone with the same respect..at least here they don't provide you with a small ghetto box of selection if your on Alberta works

Wonderful service! A true life saver! Today April 20, 2021 I accidentally sat on my glasses and they got destroyed. One of the lenses popped out and it was so crooked that it was impossible to even fold them. I hurried to the Walmart Optical Center and was greeted by a very polite lady (unfortunately I did not catch her name, as I was so upset by what happened to my glasses). She asked me for 10 minutes and she would see what she could do, as she was not sure the arms of the glasses could be fixed. Less than 10 minutes later she gave my glasses back in PERFECT condition, even better than they originally were. She did not charge me a single penny for the service and I don't have enough words to say how THANKFUL I am for her willingness to help, she gave my eyes back to me! Thanks whoever you are

Dr. Chan was the very best! Appointment was smooth, she was pleasant and professional. The staff at the Vision Center was exceptional; professional and kind. Excellent service
