I first saw Dr. McCrodan in January. He responded over the holidays, which was fantastic, and booked me an appointment shortly after the reopening date! He clearly knows whats going on when it comes to concussions and visual challenges, which offered hope to me (I was the typical post-concussion syndrome patient-- seen numerous MDs between 7-8 concussions in 2 years, and never gotten anything that worked out of it). I didn't want to give up my freedom and stay in Victoria to do the vision therapy program, so I instead opted to get a pair of glasses with prisms. They significantly reduced my symptoms, allowing me to drive, use screens, travel, and continue with the time-related components of recovery while being "on-the-go". While in Turkey on a climbing trip (I add this only to emphasize that I was able to return to my normal activities) I discovered that I was able to take the glasses off for half days, three-quarter days, and even full days without aggravating my condition. However, I still preferred to wear them. Although I bought a pair of reading as well as distance glasses, I primarily use the distance ones. The only change I would have made to my experience with McCrodan would have been to only get the one pair. Getting two was completely my decision (although recommended) and may still end up helping me when I return to university. Cam readily had my lenses changed (free of charge) when I came for a reassessment (also free of charge). He and his staff are always friendly and very accommodating to folks like me who do not live in Victoria. Thanks!

Dr. McCrodan and his team really care about their patients and it shows! I came to see Dr. McCrodan after a concussion left me with debilitating double vision, headaches, sensitivity to light, and nausea. He knew exactly what was going on with my vision and set me up with a vision therapy program specific to my needs. I received constant support throughout, and since completing the program, all my symptoms have disappeared AND my vision is even better now than it was before the accident! I don't know where I'd be without Dr. McCrodan and his amazing team!! If you're having vision problems after a concussion (or in general), this is the place for you!

Dr. McCrodan knows his stuff, and is really passionate about making the lives of his patients better. After a car accident last year, I started experiencing weekly headaches/migraines and was struggling to get through the work day, but had no idea that my issues could be related to my vision. He came highly recommended, and after trying everything else, I decided to see him, and I am so happy that I did. After the first visit, he knew right away what type of glasses I needed, and a week after wearing the new glasses he gave me, my headaches and migraines stopped. I haven't had a migraine since! My day-to-day life has improved in every way, and I can't thank him enough!

Unfortunately I did not have any success being treated by Dr. McCrodan. Make sure you do good research .
