The Owner's Response to the below comment creeped me out - what an invasion of privacy!?! Why would a professional discuss a patient's detailed optical history online. So unprofessional. You should remove your Owner's Reply out of decency; just apologize to her and humble yourself. Clearly I will have to stick with the Vancouver IRIS branch. --------------------- In response to The Owner of this IRIS: You gave - gender details, - Specific Dr details, - Patient dates details, - Client specific purchases. One of these privacy infractions would drive me bonkers. And you still didn't take them down??! I actually understand exactly what happened; your response to her concerns had no apology, and your explanation was very messy. Find one better way of saying; "Contact lense fittings cost X amount, if the same prescribing Optometrist isn't used." and "I'm sorry the experience was so confusing for you."

My experience with this place has been terrible. The doctors revolve like a door. The staff is seem confused and unsure of what's going on. Client records are written on slips of white paper, none of which reflect the date, the conversation or the proper information. I have been trying to get contact lenses since before Christmas and still don't have them. Today I go to pick up order and once again Its wrong! The woman had the nerve to tell me my last sence fitting was free. Excuse me....$120.00 for 5 min. (literally) with Dr. Lam is not Free!! Overwhelmingly to not recommend this place.

I am so shock to see the review, because I have best experience in IRIS coquitlam.

We called for an appointment and left a message with Iris Coquitlam. We followed up with an online request for an eye exam in hopes that they will get back to us in a timely fashion. Our appointment request was one week from the day so there are lots of lead time to plan. We did not get a phone call or email; we waited patiently for 5 hours and we decided to call them again. Short answer was no Optometrist on the day of your requested. It would have been nice of them to contact us and help us plan our visit. My wife and two kids had been going to Prince George Iris for many years and the Iris team there knew us by our first name. I myself had been an Iris customer in Prince George since the day they had opened. Since we moved to Vancouver, we expected to stay loyal to Iris. We only seek common curtsey from the business to get back to customer in a reasonable manner. If the business could not perform a simple step of replying to customer, we can imagine the service. This was based on first impression, the first impression was absolutely unforgivable. I do not wish to place any star on this post. However, the minimum requirement is one star. I wish that this post will help Iris improve their customer service and perhaps retain customer in the future. In the mean time, good bye Iris, we are going else where.

I do not write reviews unless my experience is out of the ordinary. We keep raising the bar for service and product quality and that it makes it very hard for a business to stand out of the croud. When I walked into the Coquitlam Iris optometrist office, I realized that the customer interface is set at higher standards, including the front counter employees attitude. I tried to set them angry and I acted in a way so I could see if they just use a fake smile and politeness but I was treated with same respect as most people would treat those driving expensive cars or those dressed in expensive clothes. Usually I just walk out if I feel treated with disrespect or I feel any sort of discrimination, but they passed my test. Then Dr. Lam impressed me with the time he spent to explain me about my eyes health without trying to push a sale. A five star service for me
