Dr. Markowitz was incredibly kind and efficient in the service she provided me. I went to get my eyes tested for inflammation and was happy with the service and tips I received to help with my situation. Overall I had a really good experience! Definitely would recommend!

I came here in 2021 after the Doctor that was initially there retired. Felt extremely rushed and every machine they showed me for extra tests was an additional payment. I asked them just to do the regular eye exam that insurance covers. Dr Markewitz was OK however they actually messed my prescription and gave me the reverse which was a huge hassle. Won't be going back.

I went to see Dr. Markowitz in Feb. 2022 because I thought I had an eye infection. She diagnosed me with dry eye, gave me some over the counter drops, and suggested a new brand of contact lenses. As part of this, she also checked my vision, and gave me some samples in my new Rx to try out. I tried them for a week, but my vision was still very fuzzy. When I returned to Dr. Markowitz, she realised she had typed in the wrong numbers into my file and had given me the the wrong Rx. No big deal - the problem was corrected and I went on my merry way. (Side note: The OTC drops didn't work and I'm going to a dry eye specialist now, for anyone wondering.) Fast forward to Feb. 2023. I recommended Dr. Markowitz to my husband. He had an eye exam, received a new Rx, and ordered new glasses online. When they arrived, he could tell right away that something was off. He went back to Dr. Markowitz to confirm he had the right Rx, and she confirmed that yes, it was correct, but refused to check that the glasses matched the Rx she had given him - instead suggesting that the company he ordered from had messed up. He went to Costco that night, where they checked the lenses and told him the Rx on the form from Dr. Markowitz had given him matched the Rx in the glasses - so the problem was likely the Rx. Fast forward to today. My husband went to his former optometrist at Hakim (5&10) and she did a full eye exam and told him the Rx in his right eye was way off from what Dr. Markowitz had assessed. Dr. Markowitz told him it was -3.0 when in fact it was -1.25. That's quite a difference! My husband will not be going back to Markowitz, but getting a second eye exam and ordering new lenses for his glasses to match his actual Rx has cost him $725. I assumed my experience with Dr. Markowitz was a fluke, an honest mistake, but I now realise that Dr. Markowitz is not as careful or as skilled as she ought to be. I also don't appreciate hearing about her basically gaslighting my husband, suggesting that he's wrong about his vision experience. We will not be returning.

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 2 or 3. Dr M. and Rebecca have been absolutely fantastic with me. Patient and personable. And for various reasons, it’s been a difficult case. They have taken excellent care to get it right. Thanks ladies.

Not very good to be quite honest. Seemed to be mostly concerned about selling us glasses and contact lenses. The service seemed very rush. And mostly was waiting in the hallway as she saw what seemed like 5 people at a time. Seemed more of a business first.. We were transferred clients from Dr. Howard Stone and the level of quality is night and day.
