The staff is wonderful, everyone is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. In regards to children they really go above and beyond; by not only being very accommodating and understanding but by also meeting the child at their level! I would highly recommend Island Eye Care to others.

Dr. MacInnis is excellent, takes time to review everything with you in plain English, and his technology is top notch. Friendly staff and good selection of glasses as well. Best optometrist I've ever been to.

Very thorough, superb service from start to finish from everyone on staff! I believe education is vital to preventative healthcare and Island Eye Care provided plenty. Now that I thoroughly understand my astigmatism I'll be able to more effectively care for my eyes and prevent major issues going forward. I felt like I was a part of the process rather than merely another client through a rotating door. I felt heard, respected, and cared for every step of the way. I switched to Dr. MacInnis' clinic because of how he was able to detect and effectively refer my partner to emergency services for a nearly detached retina during an otherwise routine appointment. Had he not detected this issue (using equipment that is unique to the clinic) or reacted as quickly as he did, the outcome might not have been as good as it was. Cape Breton is very lucky to have Dr. MacInnis serving the community.
