Clarington Optometry has an excellent selection of frames and the service is second to none. We dealt with Pauline who spent over an hour with us. Very patient and knows what to look for when fitting frames. I give them 5 plus stars! Thank you so much!

The technician, Sabrina, is the best I have ever dealt with. I have gone to multiple optometrist offices prior, and this has been the best service I have ever received. Sabrina greets you at the front desk and makes you feel at home. She is very dedicated to her job and you instantly become family to this office.

Such a lovely office! Staff are friendly and attentive. I saw Dr. Thevabalan and she was great, very thorough. The office also has a large selection of glasses. I was happy with my experience.

It's a shame because this place has a great selection of frames - however the customer service is awful. I went in as a first time buyer for eye glasses.. As I walked in I showed the receptionist my prescription and just said I would take a look around as I never wore glasses before. As I was looking around I picked out a couple I liked but I wasn't sure what to do with them, I wanted to keep track of the ones I liked so I asked the receptionist if I could have a piece of paper to write them down, she said no. With a confused look on her face. I asked if I could take a photo of them then so I could remember what frames I liked, she said no they don't allow to take photos. So I'm standing there wondering how the hell I can keep track of the 5+ frames I like. I then said to her that I've found more than 5 frames I like, what do I have to do to get this started to I can have a file of the glasses I would be interested In purchasing? I told her multiple times I'm new and didn't know what the process was. She eventually sent another older lady with blondish shoulder length hair to help me, then the experience went downhill from there. Basically the lady who was helping me was rushy, rude, not helpful and had the worst customer service skills. I was prepared to pay hundreds of dollars at this shop and ended up walking out and never returning. I recommend hiring someone who actually ENJOYS working in customer service and doesn't treat people like they are a nuisance.

Bought both of my frames here, including my first pair of prescription sunglasses and couldn't be more satisfied! I made the switch some time ago from Oshawa and it's been better down to the eye exam! Frames are in high supply as they have both no name and brand sponsored options. Honestly just the easiest way to get glasses.

I agree with Lucy, we have been going there for 3 years now, and our last visit a couple of Months ago was by far the worst experience. A lady we hadn’t seen before was extremely rude to my daughter. The other receptionist looked at me like I had 2 heads when I asked any questions, (I think I was bothering her asking her to do her job). When it was time to pick her glasses no assistance was given. Both my children wear glasses. We picked them anyways and they took no measurements and said we will call you when they are in. A few days later I received a call saying we had to come back for measurements. Very disorganized and rude receptionists. There was a nice one before but perhaps she has moved on. I like the Doctor, but considering going elsewhere next year.
