Don’t waste time find a different optometrist

I called to make an appointment and qualify for a yearly OHIP eye exam. Her staff advised that the Dr will not see any new OHIP patients anymore due to the action between optometrists and OHIP payouts. They then told me all about this action being taken (like I have any say in this) so I was refused an appointment. Upon looking into this matter myself it has been made clear that as of September 1st this may be policy until an agreement is reached, however it was August 2nd that I called. So she is denying patients who may need help have an eye condition that can get worse to the point that there is no longer anything that could be done to help. Ignoring patients is a disgusting practice by any dr ever especially over money. You can still aid patients while this is worked out. Doing declines this early (before September and even at all) shows how much she cares about patients and that is shown to be not at all.

My wife and I came there for eye tests and she running really late just before closing and we finally got in she rushed us both one at a time extremely fast and was getting annoyed when one of us would ask her to go back to previous slide (test on eyes Dr shows multiple slides to compare which is better). She made us wait at 30 min then got annoyed and rushed us out the door cause it was past her closing time. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Will never be back!

I have a serious eye problem and I can't seem to get help for it. I have been trying to get an appointment to a specialist for almost a year now and I still haven't gotten one. 2 eye exams, a glaucoma test, 8 months and $400 later, and still no specialist. Time to see a new eye doctor. I'm a patient you goddamn vampire! Stop conning me out of my money and actually HELP ME!
