I suggested this office to a friend who just moved to town. She was nervous to book because of bad reviews. I thought I'd better check out the reviews, as I've been dealing there for a while and never had any reason to complain. She has since been in and was pleased. All I can say is, I worked in customer service for many years before retiring, and it's usually the difficult customers that make the most noise. Unfortunately happy customers don't usually take the time to leave a review, so take those reviews with a grain of salt.

I always have a had a wonderful experience with this office, and have been coming here for many, many years. I have seen all three of the doctors, all of whom are caring, and knowledgeable. I have never had a bad experience with front end staff, or glasses fitting as some of these other reviews state. I find all the girls in the office to be quite helpful, and pleasant. If you're looking for great eye care and customer service, this is the place to come.

I really wish I could rate the receptionist and optometrists separately. FIVE STARS - I have always received an excellent experience and care with Dr. Templeman (and Dr. Klein). My kids absolutely adore Dr. Templeman! I was always pleased with her expertise given my horrible eye prescription. ZERO STARS - Recently, I experienced severe pain behind one eye. I phoned the office for an "emergency" appointment on a Friday. I was told that no one could see me and to go to my family doctor or emerge and that if the pain did not subside to phone them back for an appointment the following week. That is what I did - I phoned Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for an appointment. I was constantly told "we are fully booked", despite me urgently telling the receptionist I need to see a doctor. I suggested for her to speak with Dr. Templeman (she always told me if anything sudden happens to my eyes, to phone right away for an appointment and not to wait). I was rudely told multiple times "we are fully booked". Not to mention how rude she was when she called 11 DAYS LATER from my original urgent phone call for a cancellation when I told her I had to go to another optometrist given the urgency. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of front of house services, lack of empathy in a health practice, and that my urgent eye condition was disregarded and a full computer schedule trumped my concerns. If you can find a way to avoid the front of house receptionist, the optometrists are wonderful. Otherwise, find another practice who actually puts your concerns above their unwillingness to go above and beyond.

I'd been going there for years and had no issues at all with anyone until about 5-6 yrs ago approx. The new front desk person they hired was extremely rude and self centered. During my last visit, the very nice person who was helping me with frame selection etc asked another woman (I don't know her position or function there) for advice on my request for darker lens tint. The response was unbelievably ignorant and rude...I was within earshot and she made no attempt to be discreet. That was my last visit and I'll never go back. Our family eye care is done in London now. Unfortunately this seems to be a trend with some businesses in this town.

Hmm, must of got a new receptionist! It was my first time here and Dr.Klein was amazing and the receptionist was lovely, kind and cheerful. Great experience for my husband and I. Glad we went ahead with the appointment despite the bad reviews.
