I came here last November to get a new pair of glasses. I ordered frame and lens. After one week or so, I received my new glasses. But the frame was very loose. I had no problem when I first tried the frame in the shop. The receptionist explained that it was because of the winter. Then she used some glass beads to warm up the temples and bended them. 1 day later, the frame became loose again. I went to the shop and they did the same thing to my glasses. But it became loose again the next day. I went to the shop again and asked to get a same frame of smaller size. The receptionist told me that the new frame and lens would be arrived within 2 weeks. 2 week later, I got an email that informed me that the company had the new frame on back order and they would inform me once they arrived. That was another 3 weeks of waiting time for the new frame and lens. I went to the shop the last time. The receptionist asked me if I wanted to change my frame. I tried some on and decided to get the same frame of smaller size. The frame fitted perfectly. After the lens were put into the new frame, the new frame became loose again. The receptionist used a machine to bend the front piece which changed the shape of the frame as a result. I was angry and the receptionist asked me why I did not change to a new style of frame when I had the choice. That's almost a one and half months of process to get a useless pair of glasses. I have to get a new pair somewhere else and I don't know what to do with this 500-dollar pair of glasses that I got from Spadina Optometry. Update: The owner gave me a full refund.

Disappointing experience getting help to fix my glasses. I had a broken pair of frames that I wanted the lenses transferred to a new set of frames. They seemed like they genuinely wanted to help. However it took them over 30 mins to put 1 lens into the frame and were unable to put the 2nd in. I picked them up later in the day disappointed I now had glasses in a worse shape then when i dropped them off. Got home and realized they had put in the lens on the wrong side, a very amateur mistake that could've been avoided if more attention was given. Later that day I brought them elsewhere, they told me that each set lenses is unique to each set of frames and just because they are the same model doesn't mean they will fit perfectly. They refused to give it a try because they didn't want to damage the lenses or the frames. This is when I realized they also had damaged my new set of frames and my current lenses. The amount of force they used scratched and warped my lens and bent the frame. They had told me that they weren't liable for any damage to frames/lenses they don't sell, which I understood and that's a risk I took, however, if they won't fit, they won't fit. That's just common sense courtesy and would've appreciated if they had told me that instead of trying to jam them in. Even though my frames were previously broken I was still able to wear them and see with them. Now I just have damaged lenses and frames, totally not wearable and am forced to purchase a whole new set of frames and lenses. I understand they were trying to help and I took that risk, however, just really disappointed with the outcome that could've easily been avoided with some common sense knowledge and courtesy on their side.

I came here over a year ago and I remember my visit clearly. A young lady helped me and she waved my concerns over as if they were nothing. Wasn't really patient to answer my questions and just said things were "normal". I went to Yorkdale Optometry and they made me realize how poor the service at Spadina was. I was given so much help and concern, he said that my prescription for my right eye was actually too strong, which was the prescription I received from HERE. That is why I experienced blurry vision. I asked why I had sensitivity to light, and was told usually lens wearers can experience that while the lady just sounded annoyed. Anyways, I won't be coming back here.

wonderful staff, both the doctors and the front desk staff. Amazing service at my actual appointment - the doctor took the time to explain what each test was for and was very personable. The staff in the front were extremely helpful in assisting me in choosing new glasses. AND my new glasses came in in record time - just all around wonderful place.

I've been a patient here for years and continue to receive one of the best customer service experiences ever. The staff are always cheerful and helpful, even providing help above and beyond.
