Dr Walji has been my Optometrist since the early 90's. He's never been late. His eye exams have always been thorough, and he always makes sure that I'm fully aware of the health of my eyes. Roughly 10 years ago I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, and it was Dr Walji that alerted me to have extensive blood work done because he was seeing changes in my eyes that suggested possible Diabetes. While my family Dr completely missed this, he didn't, and he even went as far to call my family Dr with his concerns. I cannot say enough about him. I drive an hour to see him because he's been the best Dr I've ever experienced.

Always late. Does not respect appointments. Charges more than other optometrists in Markham.

Below is what happened at Dr. Walji's office, However mistakes do happen as a business owner myself I I realize that not everyday goes 100%. After talking with Dr. Walji when he called me directly after my review we resolved my issues with the glasses. Long story short Dr. Walji stands behind his business and has made me a happy customer once again. I appreciate a business owner who talks the talk, but in, turn walks the walk. Dr walji is professional, and thorough with his exams and consults. He has suggested Ortho K for my eyes and I'm excited to see 20 20 without surgery. Chris Dale I Purchased two pair of glasses from Doctor Walji. His exam was thorough and detailed. His Glasses I purchased were excellent as far as lens focus, but were terrible, both pairs, for the following reasons. The transitional lens glasses were not even a year old and the lens was distorted, it looked like you were looking through a heat wave, that look you get off the top of your toaster. The second pair were polarized sunglasses which I loved, when I went to pick them up Dr. Walji made sure they fit properly, which was great, but there was a chip out of the lens not where you would ever see it, but just on the edge that holds the lens in the steel frame. I mentioned it to him but he assured me that this is not an issue and if it became one, it would be covered. Big Mistake should have made him remake the lens! Within the year I was called for a check up I told the lady that I needed to talk to Dr. Walji, she said I needed to book an appointment. I walked in to the office and asked to speak to Dr. Walji briefly regarding my issues, I was told I needed to pay for a check up and I could discuss with him at that time. I explained that I wanted to talk to him directly before I waste any of his time, as I wanted to know before paying any more money if he could fix my glasses as promised when I purchased. I was not allowed to speak with him without having an expensive eye exam. I left my information and my Glasses on the counter (which was over $1000.00 in product just one year ago) so that he could check the glasses and return my call. Dr. Walji never called, his secretary did call only to tell me that I needed to book the eye exam once again, to check my eyes and may be Dr. Walji would be ably to help me on the transitional lenses but my sunglasses would not be fixed under any warranty! All I wanted was Dr. Walji to tell me what exactly he would do about the defective product, before I spent more with him. I was so disappointed that he would not call me directly to explain why he would not cover my glasses, as you could clearly tell the Transitional lenses were FUBAR and the sun glass lenses were cracked all away around the steel perimeter that holds the glass into the frame clearly nothing I did to break the lens it was a manufacturing error that I pointed out the day I picked the glasses up!!!! I got three follow up calls from the secretary to book my yearly check up, WHAT nerve. My glasses are still at his office as they are totally useless, I still have never heard from him, if it were my business I would certainly call to find out what happened to make a client angry enough to leave his glasses the office and never picked them up.
