Wish i read some reviews before giving this place my buisness. Mike the owner is extremely rude, useless and can't stand behind his word whatsoever. I can't believe he works in customer service. What ever happened to the customer is always right? He straight up told me I was more then wrong, and he verbally didn't care when I said I'd never be back. Disappointed in Hakim for letting this man run one of their businesses. I wouldn't advise anyone in my hometown of Cobourg to purchase anything from this place. There are many other buisness to purchase your glasses from in town, that will treat you fairly and with respect. Something this man should learn.

I will never, ever purchase anything from Hakim Optical again! I feel that I've been misled regarding the pricing structure given that the 2 quotes are significantly different !! Never, have I picked up a pair of new glasses that they did not ask for the glasses to be put on to determine the fit. ..not at this pitiful store! It was here's your glasses. .don't forget to come back and have them adjusted later! I ask Mr Hogan why there was a difference of approximately $150 and he told me that he "forgot" that Hakim charged more for the stronger prescription! Then I asked for different cases for my $600 glasses and the sales girl said that's all they had!!! The store was lined with glass cases everywhere! When I pointed to the cases I would like she told me that the displays couldn't be touched. ..unbelievable I replied. I told her that given I had just spent a huge amount on glasses that I would not ever purchase there again! Her reply, "that's ok!" Horrible customer service and very sketchy response to pricing glasses! !

This place is a joke , I didn't confirm a purchase they charged my insurance company , it took me over 2 months after many phone calls to get them to pay back my insurance company ,even after talking to head office took me weeks to get this resolved something really shady about this operation , never ever go here!

I purchased 3 glasses, one being for reading. They did not offer me the thin lenses & when I picked them up I complained about the weight. He said you should have chosen the upgrade to the thin lens. I said I would have had I been offered. Very poor service!

This is the worst experience I have had in my over 25yrs dealing with this organization at the store I was dealing with Mike hogan who actually called me a liar and verbally swore profanity at me when I told him I did not get anything on my lenses other then the glue he himself put on them to hold the lens in the coating is now separating from the lens this person should not be working with the public his excuse was that he should not be alone working all the hours terrible experience and I will follow up with head office I am very disappointed
