Good service and I feel that it is a extensive eye test, but I think they should make it clear what the price is upfront. No one would expect to pay £140 for an eye test. One of the machines is dirty as well, so creates spots all over the eye pictures.

I bought my glasses from h&w 34 years ago and I'm still wearing them!!. The lenses haven't yellowed or crazed at all and the frames which were altered to fit my crooked face exactly, have held up so well!!! I wish I was still living in London as I need to update the prescription on one lens but sadly I'm no longer in the UK. I'm glad to see the reviews are still glowing....deservedly so! Thanks h&w for a superior product!

I initially went to Vision Express to get new lenses for my glasses. When I got them back, the frames were so wide the glasses would hardly stay on my face. They said there was nothing they could do except heat the middle of them and try and bend them to fit my face. These are quite expensive frames so I didn't want them bent out of shape. I went into this store to see if anything could be done and the man sorted them out perfectly in 5 minutes completely free of charge. I will be going here in future rather than a high street opticians.

Hawkes & Wainer is a brilliant firm. Extremely professional care and customer service that is so good, it is almost beyond belief. The whole team is superb, but Gary is a fantastic first among exceptional equals. I have been a customer for over 30 years and can recommend H&W to anyone wanting an excellent service.

I popped into the store today with my Rayban sunglasses as they needed repairing. What wonderful generous service. Will be going back for sure! Thank you.
