Service was polite and professional, if anything a bit "mechanic" and cold. The eye test was accurate and included in the price. The employee who assisted me with choosing a frame was very efficient. Her ability to quickly understand what I was looking for made the process easy. She also showed good product knowledge by suggesting frames that, while still appealing to my taste, were more suitable for the shape of my face. If you prefer a more personal, "warm" touch then this might not be the place for you. Other than that, the prices are good and the ranges are wide enough and the service professional.

Well the much awaited revamp has happened. It hasn't obviously increased stock capacity but the layout seems much improved. The displays are clearly priced from £25 upwards to £165, frame plus different types of lenses too and the lighting above the racks is kinder on the eye and the complexion ! There's a tablet desk near the entrance so you can check out the website to order in a colour choice or use the ' how would l look in these frames' facility. For those of us who are very myopic this is invaluable. You no longer have to ask strangers in store what they think or press yourself up to the mirror and squint at your reflection. Staff won't let you select an unsuitable frame for your prescription or an unflattering one. The aftercare is brilliant too. No matter what kind of clutzy things you subject your new glasses to, they're ready willing and able to put them to rights, which makes the initial heavy financial outlay on new specs feel less painful. Never be frightened either to delay your choice by writing down style reference numbers you like, then checking them on line later to help you decide. Don't buy under pressure. Ask about donating your old frames to a charity too.The cleaning and adjustment machine is now just beside the till so getting a quick spruce really easy.

Staff upstairs were very smiley and friendly, felt very professional and eye test was very good. However when they finish and hand you over to the sales staff downstairs, it feels very unprofessional. Staff lounging around having jokes. Only show interest when they see you are going to buy glasses. A shame.

I want to give a special thank you to Amir, he has been extremely helpful especially when picking out glasses and informing us about all the prices. He showed excellent customer service a good knowledge in glasses, suggested a variety of them to me. He knew exactly what I was looking for and helping me go find the perfect pair. Even when I took longer than expected there wasn't one sign of impatience. Will definitely be coming back here and recommending to a friend.

Overall the opticians conducting the eye test and contact lens trial test were very good and professional. However, the manager's helpfulness could be questioned as i was trying to request a spare pair of contact lenses the day they gave me my prescription. She chose not to speak to me directly but was whispering into the ear of her subordinates to tell me nothing can be done as i was not part of their lens program. Even though I urged that it was an emergency, they chose not to help. I found that rather unprofessional and it seems they are not willing to help you when you most need it.
