Although I haven't purchased a single pair yet, the customer service they provide here is exceptional. I went in yesterday to get a new pair of glasses since the one I bought from Costco weeks ago has such a big frame that it almost rubs my face every time I smile. Anna adjusted the nose pad and now the frame feels much better without ever easily rubbing my face again. Thanks to her help, I now have to think twice before I decide to replace this new Costco pair. But one thing I will say is when this pair wears out, this is where I will get my next one. Plus I like their $150 groupon deal.

Do not buy from these people. The anti-reflective coating comes off on the edges touching skin on my $1,000+ lenses, starting before 12 months, and they do not cover it on warranty after 12 months when it uncovers the whole surface of the two lenses. They are unusable. Then they will not respond to a complaint in person twice, and by phone to "head office" in the Scarborough store. My husband will have me remove the Google Maps 360 degree Street View tour he did of the Aurora store.

The place was great ! Never done eye exam and glasses in Canada and this place is my first place to get a pair of glasses. Staffs were friendly, especially Anna. She was really helpful and patient. She gave me a good recommendation to choose my glasses. Prices are fair. Definitely come back if I need more glasses.

If you’re located in Scarborough and looking for somewhere with excellent customer service and the most trendy and fashionable eyewear, Optical Thirty 8 is the place to go!! I went in today on a whim after calling up several other optical places around the area. I read the reviews on Google here and after noticing they have several other locations with amazing reviews too, I decided to give them a try. I was greeted immediately upon entering the store and was looked after right away. Anna helped me throughout the entire process of choosing my eyeglasses and was super friendly and gave her honest opinion. I was really hesitant about purchasing the glasses that I loved and took a LONG time deciding. She was so patient and didn’t even seem annoyed or was pushy when I couldn’t make a decision in the beginning. I went in with a budget of $200-250 and ended up spending $370 (way over my budget and the most I’ve EVER spent on eyeglasses in my 12 years of wearing them). I wasn’t even sure what the O&X New York brand was because I never heard of it. I just loved the style, fit and quality. (I did some further research when I got home and learned that it’s a legit Japanese brand and the one I choose was a new realease!). I initially made the purchase because my glasses broke yesterday and I needed one right away. They had it ready within 20 mins of my deciding!! Not to mention I took my kids and everyone was so friendly even though they were running around the entire time haha. They even got some mini gifts from one of the guys that work there which was really nice. I’m looking forward to bringing them in for vision tests soon and wish I had discovered them earlier so I could’ve done mine here too. Anna also gave me a free pair of trial monthly contact lenses to try out when I inquired about purchasing contact lenses. The store is super clean and breathable and not stuffy like most optical places. They have large comfy sofas to relax on and offer you cool water to drink without you asking :) You really feel like royalty from the moment you walk in. I hardly take the time to write reviews (I either have to really love the service somewhere or be really upset lol). It’s really hard to find good service these days. I highly highly recommend this place. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
