Unfortunately, a less than satisfactory experience with Dr. Li. The ability to listen without letting emotions get in the way was the expectation. I would not recommend this optometrist.

I went in today for my second appointment with Dr. Li. Going to the Optometrist is perhaps one of the worst things in life other than hell. (And I don't believe in hell.) Let me put it to you like this: I'd rather be put in a rocket ship, sent to the planet Krypton where I'd live out the rest of my days under the tyranny of the Red Sun.... But Dr. Li and her staff are wonderful. The office fits in perfectly as a shabby-sheek decorated boutique amidst the bayview/davisville village area. The care put in to it is evident via the wonderful kind and efficient staff and Doctors who work there... So I got tired of looking like Larry King or; a hipster who forgot his beard & plaid shirt.... I decided to start wearing Contact Lenses instead of thick rimmed RayBan glasses (for once.) The procedure when you visit Dr. Li is she checks out your vision and one of her staff will give you a lesson in how to put your contact lenses in and take them out. It's legally obligatory that they don't let you leave the premises with the lenses until you prove you can put them in and take them out correctly. Unfortunately on this morning (the first day of school) I had accidentally had 7 shots of Vodka for breakfast (my usual breakfast is Gin)... Not only did I look and feel silly trying to pry my eyeballs open and insert contact lenses in front of the staff (who were laughing at/with all my jokes appropriately), but kids on their lunch break were stopping and pointing at me laughing as the table where I had to "practice"/be tortured by the care of my Optometrist & staff is situated in front of a huge bay window onlooking the street.... They eventually put me in a back room where I finally popped the damned lenses in and Dr. Li gave me the Okay to "Get the hell out of my office and stop frightening my patients!" All kidding aside, I am actually a stand up comedian and you can see me perform at YukYuk's! (also I can see you now too! ThEEEEENK-EEEWWWW Dr. Li!

Excellent all round. I went in and the entire staff was professional and kind. Dr. Li was quick and told me exactly what she was doing and why. All of my questions were answered with incredible clarity. She also provided me with things I would look out for and preventative care. 100% recommend.
