Understaffed and inefficient. Plan at least 90 minutes for a simple purchase. 10min to select a frame (on your own). Wait 40 minutes for someone to ring up the sale. Spend another 40 minutes completing the paperwork and payment. Ugh. UPDATE: After waiting 90 minutes to complete this routine sale, the staff offered to ship the glasses to the Rideau Centre location since it was a more convenient pickup location for us. Several days later we received a call to say the glasses were ready and were being sent to to the Rideau location. Two days later we went to the Rideau Centre only to learn that the glasses were never shipped from the St Laurent location. We got back in the car and drove back to the St Laurent location to finally pick up the glasses. This entire experience was tedious and exasperating for a very routine transaction. I would remove another star if I could.

I came in with my prescription to buy new glasses and was refused service because the prescription was 3 years old. As a student, I do not have full coverage insurance, and because I have noticed no difference in my vision quality, I didn't feel like paying $150 for an eye exam on top of the hefty sum I usually must pay for my strong prescription glasses. The attendant treated me like a child, told me that eyeglasses prescriptions expire like medications (uh, no they don't, and I'm here for eyeglasses, not opioids) and walked me over to the optometrist next door so they could "take care of me". She implied that I would be seen immediately, but then I was given an appointment more than 2 weeks later. Overall an infuriatingly humiliating experience. I ended up purchasing my new glasses online from clearly.ca and paid FAR less than I ever have at Lens Crafters. The plus side was that I also didn't have to deal with upselling pressure from a service associate trying to sell me the highest-tech lenses and useless insurance. Not only will I not be returning to this location, but I will not be shopping with Lens Crafters at all in the future.

I've been a customer for many years and have always been 100% satisfied with Lens Crafters @ St-Laurent. Customer service is always on point.

Staff was courteous, efficient, treated me well. Helpful and everyone seemed genuinely interested that my shopping experience be a positive one. Got exactly what I wanted at a fair price. Could not have been better. I would recommend this location. It is over an hour drive and worth every kilometer.
