This is my first visit without Dr. Meyer. Ashley did a fine job with the her part of the exam and was quite informative. I did also enjoy meeting Dr. Mc Donald for the first time and hope to work with him in the future.

What a great place. Every time I am in there, everyone is friendly and professional. I am always given the chance to make informed choices about what my insurance covers and what I am paying for for my glasses. My daughter recently broke her glasses, and they had a new pair for her in 4 days. Thanks to a long holiday weekend, she never had to go to school without them. They all take great care of my family.

Last year was my first visit here. I had no complaints everyone was very kind and helpful. This last visit however was a different story. I arrived at 11:15 to deal with the insurance I was unsure was filled out. I brought my 3 and 6 yr olds with me b.c I am a stay at home mom and that is my job. I fed them breakfast late knowing we might have lunch later than normal. All the receptionists and ladies working there have always been very nice. They called me back right away maybe a 5 minute wait tops. I did the exams in the back like normal and into the room where not the Dr but (I'm not sure her title, equivalent to a nurse I would say) gave me the exam. Then she left (11:40) and had me wait for the Dr.. 11:55 comes and goes. At this point I have been sitting since 11:20 and so have my kids. All 3 of us are getting restless. 12:05 I come out to see when the doctor would be in since there was absolutely no one in there but the ppl who worked there. No one walking past nothing. 12:15 comes and DR. MCDONALD comes in. My kids have had it with life right now as it has now been a total of 1 hour sitting in a the tiny room. Now, I am not saying my kids were acting good, b.c they weren't they were fighting and my daughter was being a little turd. But DR. MCDONALD had the nerve to cop a pretentious attitude and was asking me "if I heard what he just said" and then proceeded to yell at MY kids! Not address me first. No one, not my kids grandparents least of all some stranger will yell at my children. I don't care how terrible they are being, you DO NOT talk to me or my family in such a way. I am not defending my kids actions other than they had to wait for so fricking long and to top it off it was an hour and a half past their lunch. I told DR MCDONALD that we have been waiting for him for 45 minutes. He sat back and said "well do you want to reschedule!" And he did not say this as a professional he said this sarcastic, pretentious and irritated. I said "we have been here for over an hour if this is how we will be treated here I will leave and go elsewhere". He said "it will be just 5 more minutes" and at this point I had been there too long. I said "let's just finish this so we can leave". His exam was only about 10 minutes long. I honestly don't see the point in him even coming in when his assistant did all the work. We left the room at 12:30. The sweet helpful lady (not sure her name) got me set up with my contacts. Dr. Mcdonald came out and gave me $25 off my contact order and looked at me like I should be grateful. The lady had some computer trouble but who doesn't have computer trouble. We left the office at 12:55. The only way I will go back to this place is if I never have to be seen by DR. MCDONALD again and he will have no part of my business. So if he is a part owner I will not return. He should be very grateful that the rest of the staff is kind and helpful. I am giving an extra star b.c of them and b.c one star is the minimum.

All of the staff we encountered at Advanced Optometry were very kind, caring and professional. Finally, I have found eye care professionals that I feel very confident in!
