Jas Tent Rentals & Wedding Decor(Calgary)

Terrible customer service!!!! called multiple times to just set up a meeting to talk about decor for my wedding, was told Jas we will call me back in a day as "he was busy with a wedding" no call back!!! Called again to just get a phone quote and they "didn't have the time" BRIDES AND GROOMS BE AWARE!!!! THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!!!! DO NOT BOOK!!!! DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME GETTING IN TOUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

We hired Jas for tent services for my wedding and house decor. His decor is phenomenal. Tent services I wouldn't say so much. He was easy to talk to and quick to get a hold of which was highly appreciated prior to event. However, on the wedding morning, we had arranged seating for 300 people but the set up was for 200 people and one less tent was set up. This came as a big surprise to us on the wedding morning of all days. The temple did pave a certain section which had caused this decision to be made by Jas because the last tent would be set up on unpaved land unlike the other tents which were set up on paved land. He made this decision on his own to set up 100 less seats and 1 less tent without contacting us regardless of the fact we paid him for the arrangement of 300 guests. We just wish he had contacted us at the time of set up, the day BEFORE, rather than us having to struggle with an overload of guests on the wedding morning!! - especially since we had paid him for a service and we did not get that. During our discussion, we told him we invited 500 guests and he suggested 300 seats would be sufficient. Knowing we are having 500 guests, Jas should have had the courtesy to call us at the time of set up to discuss what to do or if we should set up tents on a different side etc. Jas did agree to refund us but a similar amount to what we paid for the house tent to accommodate 40 people which I didn't think was sufficient for the stress of crowd control it had caused on the morning of the wedding!!! which could have been prevented or lessened. We had counted seats on the wedding morning to learn we had less seats and had to contact Jas ourselves for him to tell us he had set up less seats than the contract & payment. Otherwise, I dont know if he would have even told us. I did not think this was honest. Lastly, during take down, Jas's team took bags of our bottle recycling without asking from around our home and inside our garage. During a weeks worth of wedding events, we had a tonne of bottle recycling we had saved up to take in. We thought that was cheap on their part. He did home decor services which was amazing. But our experience with his tent services should have been better for what we paid (since he is on the higher end of Indian Tent Rental providers) and for the level of quality, professionalism and service he claims he provides. I was disappointed.

Jas and his team deliver what they promise. They have an eye for detail and creativity that goes a long way in considering alternative solutions. Be open minded to Jas and his suggestions. I can say that I'm quite detail oriented when it comes to visual aesthetics so letting go of control in some instances left an uneasy feeling. But if it's one thing I can say, it's that have faith in him as a vendor. You will not be disappointed. If he has suggestions, give him the floor and leave your ego at the door. His prices are fairly competitive in the market. Certainly better than Bollywood Fusion's. With our circumstances and the way things played out, Jas and his team were more than able to work under pressure to execute the decor. I would say that they do get busy so their follow up time needs drastic improvements. Be prepared for multiple attempts at following up. Text them or call them often if it's imperative that you need to get a hold of them. This factor warranted that I decrease my rating from a 5 to a 4. Hope that helps.

Working with Jas & his team was such a great experience from beginning to end. Jas went out of his way to ensure I had my idea of perfect center pieces and all within my budget. The backdrop to our stage wowed all of our guests and everyone was so impressed with amount of detail. We are still getting compliments on this set up. Jas & his team have a great vision for any event you may have in mind. I would highly recommend booking Jas asap for any tent rental and decor needs. You can't beat their prices, service and vision. Any ideas you have can definitely come to life with their large inventory of pieces. Thanks for making my Sangeet so special, I wouldn't change a single thing - Great Job!!

Went with Jas to decorate the hall for my wedding. Not only did he do exactly what I asked for but he added some extra touches to make everything even more beautiful and gorgeous! This guy is amazing at what he does and he really pays attention to his customers and makes sure to make them happy. And on top of it he's very reasonably priced for a service that wowed everyone at my wedding. Highly recommend him and I will always suggest him for any upcoming weddings of my friends and family.
