First impressions were good, the bartender who served me was very kind and professional. Room was decent, but there were a few long black hairs strewn about the bathroom. Also, the room (top floor) was fairly noisy due to the winds knocking around what sounded like metal roof components, but I was able to sleep through it.
This morning was the main disappointment. I went to the restaurant for breakfast, obeyed the sign that said "Please Be Seated", but sat for 15 minutes without service. The worst part being I made eye contact with two seperate servers, one of whom walked right past me and offered coffee to a table who was just sitting down. I overheard that table talking about breakfast tickets, so I shared my concern about the service with reception and asked if the breakfast service was exclusive or something. They informed me it wasn't, the tickets were just prepaid. One staff member called the restaurant and said that I was complaining about not getting service, to which the excuse was their shift just started. Breakfast opens at 6:30, I sat at 7:00. I was offered a free breakfast voucher, but I refused and explained I am more concerned about how their conduct is negatively affecting Guest Experience. Both staff members seemed fairly neutral about the whole thing so I promptly checked out.
Please provide some adequate training to your staff, or hire staff who will care about your guests.
