My friends and I stayed here last weekend (July 2018). That was peak season so the price was a bit high (~$500CAD per night after all taxes and expenses were added) We had the two bedroom suite and it was wonderful. Granted we didn't spend much time in it since we were out and about. I did appreciate the balcony in the living room AND in the bedroom. I also liked how the kitchen was fully stocked and even had a dishwasher, a kettle and a teapot. The resort has free WiFi for its guests, free parking for one vehicle as well as a fitness centre. All in all, a fine place to stay at but I wish it was cheaper.

Our stay at Solara in Canmore exceeded expectations. The stay started with great beds, with mattresses and pillows and a comforter that made sleeping amazing. No morning back pain from these beds! The unit was warm and inviting, with a large kitchen table for eating and talking, a premium refrigerator that worked great, and a warm family room environment. The space was plenty big and a great place to recharge. Loved that our unit had a small but helpful washer and dryer, with four Tide Pods thoughtfully included. Look forward to staying at Solara again.

Fantastic place to stay as a hotel. Within walking distance of everything, rooms all have kitchens which is nice to not have to eat out all the time, and they're quite spacious. Bathrooms in the rooms are great! Hot tub leaves something to be desired (quite small).

We stayed at Solara last year and it was delightful. This year was not to the same standard. The room was not equipped with adequate kitchen supplies, we asked for extra dish towels and did not receive them, and most unfortunate was the faulty air conditioning. It worked for periods of time and then stopped. Our room was stifling hot. The maintenance man came 3 to 4 times. He first blamed us for turning the thermostat too low which he said had somehow broke the system and then after the last visit finally acknowledged it was the AC unit that he couldn't fix and it had nothing to do with the thermostat. We were never offered a different room or compensation in any way. I understand that these things happen. The AC wasn't the issue ultimately, it was the apathetic response from your team that I feel you need to be aware if and look to remedy.

The space was lovely. The room was a great size and quality of the space was not in question. The price was also very reasonable for the size of unit and space that we had access to. The customer service left some gaps that could be filled. Answers like “no” without any explanations or options or even politeness. They cleaned out all of the towels from our room without replacing any and then it took half a day, and us going down to the front desk, to get us any towels. They are a little slow with service- I think they run on a smaller staff in summer. There were long black hairs in our freshly made bedding on arrival also on dishes, in towels (we are all blond. It was very clearly not ours) Cleanliness as well was a bit of an issue... the floors had dust bunnies in corners and I have crawling babies; I’m probably just more aware, but we asked for a bottom and dust pan so we could clean our own floors. Then they did send someone to mop and vacuume. Bathrooms were quite clean, as was the kitchen appliances, counters... etc were clean! I don’t like to complain. But we gave them a second chance after last year’s similar experience and it seems to be a pattern.
