Lovely rooms. Nice staff. Wish they posted rate list for mini bar in the room. I found it a bit odd that the staff left receipts asking for tips during the complementary breakfast which is self serve.. but that's a minor thing. Great stay.

Have been to the Matrix a few times now both for leisure and work. The staff is very friendly. Their complementary breakfast is probably the best in the city and the rooms are a good size and very clean when I arrive. It's also in a great location. Near local shops and food spots. Definitely would recommend.

The hotel is located in downtown Edmonton. First perk, complimentary, fresh, and crunchy apples in the lobby. Next, great security feature - no one goes up unless you are a guest with a room key. Then you get into a well laid out room with all amenities, except a microwave, and, a plus for Matrix, green, plant/herbs-based soaps, shampoo, bodywash, and conditioner. You get a sumptuous free continental breakfast, and for the period I was there at at least, free wine tasting every evening. Add to all that a very helpful front desk staff and I highly recommend the Matrix Hotel as your next accommodation in Edmonton, AB Canada.

We have stayed here before and this time we were updated to a suite, which we stayed in for three nights. While the suite is visually appealing, the TVs are too small for the room and the couch is terribly uncomfortable. As well, our room was adjoined to an outdoor patio, but we couldn't actually access it from our room. Others could access the patio from an outdoor entrance elsewhere in the hotel. We were worried the whole time that there would be strangers sitting directly outside of our room with the ability to peak in if we opened the curtains or even the sheers. Overall, a great stay. I would have given a five star rating if the things I mentioned above were addressed.

Absolutely wonderful hotel! Front desk was friendly and efficient and the breakfast spread was amazing. I gave 4 stars because one of the elevators was down when we were there and the one that was running was extremely slow. Great place otherwise. Having Starbucks right downstairs is a perk!
