Here for my best friends wedding. Great quaint little venue. Fun and warm atmosphere with a blend of old fashioned and modern. Would consider having my wedding party here.

Working with the Old Timers Cabin and the staff there has been exceptional! I own a photo booth company and have been to old timers cabin numerous times with only good things to say, they have always been so helpful and accommodating. The view is also one of the best I have seen and the atmosphere of the venue is very rustic. You will be extremely satisfied with your event at the Old Timers Cabin!

Recently held our wedding here and the location within the City is ideal. The cabin is close to the downtown core and a short ride to hotels which is great when you have a bunch of guests from out of town. The venue on its own is quaint and cozy and offers stunning views of the river valley and city at night. These were some of the many features that appealed to us, and I’m sure many others who are looking at this venue. However, I’ve taken off several stars based on the conduct and professionalism of the staff we dealt with. Our experience dealing with the events coordinator was full of lies, constant changing of their rules and the way they conduct business, having my mom told to be quite at an Open House when we had booked a private appointment to begin with, waiting weeks on end for a response to an email etc. Moreover, day of the event we had 3 of 4 toilets out of order. And while they called a plumber within the hour to have it fixed they knew this was an issue and had noted that they needed to have signs asking guests to hold the lever down as the system is antiquated. Lessons learned: The venue is immaculate hence the 2 year waiting list I’ve heard about, however, expect to pay quite the price for this and don’t expect much in the way of support from the venues staff. You are paying for 4 walls, the patio and dance floor, that’s it. Also most importantly GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING and if your questions aren’t answered ask again until you get a response, this will prevent date switches etc down the line. It’s worth noting that I had brought these concerns up with the venues Director before writing this review as a common courtesy, but the response I received appeared to shrug these concerns off as I never received as much as an apology for this experience, but rather excuses defending the aforementioned actions of their coordinators and staff. Hence I have shared my experience and what I have documented ( the full account which doesn't fit into the character count) so that others can make informed decisions in the future.

Very nice helpful staff for event planning. Beautiful building recently restored. Make sure you book your date way in advance if you want a Saturday in the summer!
