Great place to watch rugby. Lots of space, parking. Take your lawn chairs as there aren't many bleachers. Works for me! Limited menu but outdoor eating and great rugby make up for any culinary deficiencies.

I was here for a special event the banquet area was quite nice and comfortable. I have been before for a game and it was great. Lots of parking and good quality seats.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at the Ellerslie Rugby Park and we were very impressed! From the beginning, the manager Carmen was very organized and answered all our stupid questions patiently (sometimes multiple times when we neglected to write the answers down and forgot them). The rest of the staff were also very helpful and accommodating, working diligently to make sure that the hall was ready for our reception and pretty much giving us free reign with the decorations. Carmen was on holidays the week before our wedding but Vanessa, Kim and Jack were very friendly and helpful and they did a great job! It's a very nice space but it's also quite neutral (in a good way), which means that the decorations that we brought in didn't look strange, as they might have in a place with a more overwhelming character, such as the Hotel MacDonald. That being said, the bar and fireplace are beautiful, the angled ceiling and windows lend a unique character and there is plenty of space for a large group to have a great time. Their prices were also quite reasonable, especially compared to some other venues that charge an extra $10k for a wedding over other types of events. The food was delicious and there was tons of it! The folks serving the head table were fantastic, bringing us anything we asked for (and more) as soon as we requested it. The Ellerslie Rugby Park was the perfect place to have a wedding reception and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

Close to shopping stores and bus stand. Nice place.

My good friend got married here. As an event venue, I would recommend it for those on a budget; food and linens are included in a pretty reasonable price. The manager here was very accommodating and helpful when we were all kind of losing our minds. We used the yard outside for a ceremony, and it was really very nice. The trees out there are great for climbing too (I checked 😉)
