I officiated weddings at Maple Dell Acres. It is an amazing and a dream place to have your wedding. The owner Ron is so very accomdating to everyone's needs. He is indeed a gentleman to work with in preparations for a wedding.

Beautiful and well-kept property

Went to a wedding there last weekend. Beautiful. Cozy and very country chic. Highly recommend for that country themed wedding.

The owner (Ron) was unpleasant to work with. My brother and his wife had nothing but issues with him. On the weekend of the wedding he was constantly "hovering" but not ensuring that the wedding couple's needs were satisfied. The weekend was very cold and there were no heaters in the barn (hall). We plugged in space heaters to try warm the place up and the owner would go and unplug all the time them to save a dollar (even though he could see everyone was wearing their coats). As well, from what I could see, the hall did not meet fire code. No fire extinguishers, no exit signs, no emergency lighting. I am pretty sure he does not have the proper permits for the hall because those things would have had to been addressed. He constantly made us move the reefer truck with the alcohol, the pull behind bbq, and move our vehicles because he was overly nit picky. It was all going to get moved but he was directing us on how to do things. They were required to hire the farm's bartenders and that caused issues because they didn't know their inventory and opened up twice as many bottles as they should have. There were multiple bottles of vodka, rye, and rum all opened up with only one shot poured out of them. Also, multiple cases of the same beer opened up too. As well, he was going around and telling people (seniors) to dump their drinks because the liquor permit was only valid from 5 pm on. (And when you're camping out there and there is a lag time between the ceremony and the reception people want to have a few drinks, am I wrong?) The lack of a kitchen was also a noted frustration. If you wanted to cook a snack for the volunteers you had to use your trailer or bring in something else to cook. Probably the worst part was the cabin used for the wedding couple had mouse droppings in the bedding. If you can, avoid booking this place. It is not worth the headache.
