We toured the house, but didn't have the advantage of joining a tour. It is a beautiful house, but it was a little tough to get a good narrative of its importance just from what was available to read. What we thoroughly enjoyed was listening to somebody sit down to play Chopin on the grand piano on the second floor. We stopped our touring and just sat down and listened in awe. That alone was worth the price of admission.

A beautiful historical place to have a lovely brunch in the middle of downtown Calgary. The food was very good, (don't know what others were talking about, we had the eggs Benedict and they were cooked to perfection), gracious staff and you must check out Bill and Teds excellent adventure tour of the house! Ted did an amazing job with the tour! Highly recommend!

So much fun and absolutely gorgeous. Took my brother and fiance with me and I was sure they would find it boring - but they actually found it super interesting! Would definitely go again!

We have had a very positive long-standing 5 year relationship providing DJ, AV and lighting services at the Lougheed house. This very elegant venue has been recently improved with tasteful renovations and furnishings. Wonderful historical venue that's very suited to weddings with excellent food. Lots of beautiful details and craftsmanship (I've included a picture of the crown ceiling). This venue has three separate rooms, a wireless feed or satellite system is useful if music is desired in all three locations. It's also possible to setup a camera and projector/screen/TV you'd like your guests to view speeches or presentation from one of the a joining rooms. The venue has their own useful little two speaker PA system with handheld wireless microphone.

Another Calgary attraction that just isn't worth really seeing. Taking your time it takes a max 45 min to go through but literally could be completed in 10-20min. There isnt enough to read or learn about the Lougheeds to make it of great interest. Beautiful house, but too small to hold your attention for long.
