They were quick to respond to emails but upon booking an appointment to view the venue, no one actually showed up the show me the venue. The office was locked and no one would answer the phone. I found some cleaning staff who let me have a quick look around but based on first impressions alone, I will not be booking this place.

I was hoping to potentially book them as the venue for my wedding but after the experience I had just trying to look at the location- I definitely caution others about the professionalism of this place. I phoned a week in advance in attempts to book a viewing but every date I suggested wasn't able to be booked due to the person I spoke to having personal appointments to attend. That was totally fine with me, I'm a reasonable person and understand that we all have our own lives. Book a date and time that works for both of us. The date comes around and my mother, fiance, bridesmaid and I all head to Bar B Q Acres for our appointment. We try a couple doors, knock, look around a bit, but despite all the vehicles outside there's no answer. So I decide to call at this point- turns out the person I spoke to previously had another personal appointment that they received for during my booking. I understand that you take appointments when and where you can get them but what really bothers me is after driving from the South side of Edmonton that we didn't even get the courtesy of a phone call. So unprofessional.
