I have lived in the Town of Blackfalds for the past 11 years. I get my monthly utility bill emailed to me each month which saves paper (they also offer direct debit from a bank account each month to keep you from missing payments). I also have my monthly taxes taken out each month from my bank account, keeping me up to date with them. The Town Staff have been nothing but helpful and helped me with any problems that I have needed to solve while living here. The parks and facilities are second to none. I don't mind paying a bit higher taxes when the facilities (Abbey Centre, outdoor rink(s), skateboard park, bike track, parks, etc.) and the Staff from all departments are ready to help when needed. As a fast growing community, I think that what the Town of Blackfalds has done a tremendous job handling the fast growth.

After Poole's ridiculous front licence plate idea, I am boycotting this town for good. Making me damage my car because you can't fight crime in your little town is just asinine.

Blackfalds has grown over the last number of years from a small community to a large town. The staff here are great and really go the extra mile to ensure that service levels like snow removal are maintained to a high standard.

Disgusted with this town and it's employees. The property taxes are outrageous, absolutely crooked town. Just a bunch of crooks. I will be selling my house and moving as soon as possible.

Like everyone else in town I pay a borderline absurd amount in property taxes. I live just off Cottonwood Dr and the picture reasonably sums up what it looks like for the summer. There are also multiple dead trees, and the weeds go to seed and spread through everyones yards. My house is only 6 years old, so if you're shopping for a home in a new area of town you can expect it to be neglected as soon as a new residential area pops up.
