I was a guest at a wedding at Baker Creek Place last weekend and thought I would leave a review for this amazing event venue. I was very impressed with the large spaces, outdoor areas, lots of parking, large bathrooms etc. I stopped in the night before the wedding to help setup, I was there the day of the wedding and came back Sunday morning to help pack things up. I have been involved with many weddings and I have to say not a lot of wedding venues let you have all of that extra time to prep and breakdown without having to stress to do it all the day and night of the wedding. That’s a huge perk especially for the bride and groom they get that extra time on the wedding day to actually enjoy the day instead of stress before and after. Also the landscaping around the building is key!! All of the photos are just stunning!! Also rending a venue tucked away I think is a huge perk, no random people walking by, no random cars driving by, no stress about high traffic and kids playing outside the venue… overall I was very impressed and would completely recommend this for a wedding or event!

Baker Creek Place is the hidden gem of Bellingham wedding venues. Its only downfall is that it is actually hidden, tucked away in the industrial district off Iron Gate St. Our guests weren’t sure they were in the right place when they arrived. However, no one got lost. Baker Creek Place is the best priced venue in Bellingham by far. For less than $1500, you can rent the entire building on a Saturday (the ball room plus the two meeting rooms) and get in at noon on Friday to set up. The rental includes tables and chairs for 200. If the venue isn’t booked the Sunday after your wedding you can leave everything overnight and clean up the next morning. Angie, who oversees reservations, is a dream to work with. She responded to emails promptly and answered all our questions effectively. She arranged multiple tours of the venue for us, both before and after we had reserved it. It was helpful to be able to tour the venue more than once before booking and to get back inside closer to the wedding. The venue itself is a blank slate. There isn’t much decoration in the ballroom so you can dress it up or down to suit your wedding vision. I was going for a more causal feel so most of my decorations were on the tables. Even with my minimal decoration the ballroom looked beautiful. We had 17 round tables set up plus a few for our vendors. There was ample room for our 140 guest to move around and a 12 x 12 dance floor. We got married in July so we chose to have the ceremony outside and I’m so glad we did. The trees behind the venue are a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding ceremony. They didn’t look like much when I booked the venue in the winter, but on my wedding day the trees were stunning. Thank you Baker Creek Place! You made our wedding amazing! Photos courtesy of Sarah Postma Photography

clean and nice, albeit kind of bland place for events. easy parking for events under 150 ppl. very odd location but easy enough to get there. would have loved there to be a wood burning fire pit there. that would have totally made the party i was at last night.
