Summers can get pretty hot in the Comox Valley, and what better place to stay cool than in Filberg Park. The lovely shady effects of all those big trees planted many decades ago by the lady of the Filberg household provides a lovely summery but cooler atmosphere. Many of the trees have been marked with a name, so it's also a great way to brush up on your arbour knowledge. There's a lovely Tea Garden Facility in the Park too - an ideal place to take visitors for a quick bite or drink with a view over the estuary and Goose Spit. Be prepared to share the place with the local deer :)

I was here for the seafood festival. All the food tasted and looked gorgeous, especially the macaroni and cheese salmon in a cone was the best.

Good spot for Pokemon go. 3 gyms and 5 pokestops. Always nesting Pokemon there. Would like to see more done with this park and the game

Filberg park is a lovely oceanside, historical park with a interesting history. Throughout8 the year there are numerous events held on the park grounds. Most famous being the Filberg Festival at the beginning of August. Where you'll find fantastic food vendor's, listen to a variety of music genre's, meet artisans and possibly purchase their creations. The park itself is a NO DOG ZONE, including dog's leashed, held & or in dog strollers. Probably best to leave your dog('s) at home, particularly if temperatures are nearing the 20 Celsius mark or above.. But ...if you do need to leave pet's in a vehicle, PLEASE make sure the all windows are rolled down enough for cross ventilation to keep the vehicle cool, make sure your pup has a drinkable water source, park in the shade & check on your pet frequently, THANK YOU. The park has flowered lined pathways, vine entrenched gazebos, shaded picnic tables, public washrooms, herds of deer. IT'S a gorgeous intown park that is volunteer run. In the summer months there is petting zoo on the grounds, plus you can tour the picturesque historical homestead. Closer to the ocean is a lovely little tea shop with delicious treats & a good cup of tea.
