Wonderful experience overall. Furthermore, they actually had space available for the afternoon tea on a day of basis. The flavor and taste of the food was very good. Also pleased that ice wine was on the menu and that I could try it. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. Variety of teas to choose from was also very good.

Being a real estate advisor it’s not too often I’m moved by the sheer power and beauty of a home, I tend to retain a certain objectivity when approaching and working with them. The instant I laid my eyes on the Pendray Inn and Tea House, I fell in love. The aesthetic beauty of the home is utterly spectacular and serves as such a testament to where we’ve come from with regards to home architecture. Standing as a Victorian era monument, the Pendray is the perfect location just steps from downtown Victoria, so it makes the perfect home base from which to explore a city which offers something for everyone - especially us history buffs. The inside of the Inn is quaint, inviting and serves as a charming throwback to a former time. Everything is original (including the stained glass windows) and kept in wonderful condition, every stair and floorboard creaks under your feet, but that’s just the kind of beautiful music a home of this kind makes. It truly needs to be experienced to be appreciated. We stayed in the Notre Dame room which faces the back of the Inn. I think next time we’d select a different room as there was some noise coming from out back, but it was still sufficient for our needs. Michael is a great guy, a wonderful host and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the history of the home, and getting around some of the local landmarks. His team is tremendously professional and go out of their way to ensure a pleasurable experience for their guests. We will definitely be returning.

This is a little on the expensive side. The ambiance is nice. Bathrooms are clean. Okay sandwiches and desserts. The scone, clotted cream and jelly were my favorite. I tried seven (7) different teas and this is what justified the price for me.

This was such a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful rooms and building and a really comfy bed. The staff was all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is complimentary high tea style and very delicious. They gave us macarons when we checked in as well. Not many outlets, but there is a power strip to compensate. The location was very convenient, we were able to walk to see Parliament, the Empress, and to eat at very good restaurants. Parking was free.

My first time going for high tea! This is a lovely spot over looking the water. The house is beautiful, and the service from the ladies was excellent. I’ll definitely be back!
