To say that Savoury Chef made my wedding spectacular is an incredible understatement. From the first contact to the final day the support and genuine excitement for our special day was unparalleled. Prices were reasonable and we had so much control over exactly what we wanted. When I researched Savoury Chef initially, reviews claimed guests said it was the “best wedding food they’ve ever had” and I had so many people say the same thing to me. I had been craving their food ever since our first tasting. Everything went perfectly and they provided great support when we got stuck on anything, big or small. There was no such thing as a dumb question. We considered our dedicated event planner Ali to be our partner in the whole process and cannot speak more highly of her. Knowledgeable, kind, supportive and honest, our confidence in her allowed us to relax and not worry about a thing. Cherry who managed the day was incredibly on-point and sweet. Everything went exactly as planned. Pablo and Jordan were the talk of the night as the best bartenders. Personable and friendly, they definitely provided good spirit to the night. If you’re looking for quality and passionate people who are doing exactly what they were meant to do, don’t look any further.

We just had our baby shower and had full service catering with Savoury Chef. We are very happy with the food quality, the service, the food presentation and the pick up/ clean up service. The planner (Ariana) is on top of things and provide good recommendations. The server (Alison) and chef were professional and I didn’t need to intervene at all and so I could enjoy the event myself. The food was very tasty and looked amazing. The table presentation was very lovely. The pick up and drop off service was prompt. I would definitely consider having them for future events and would recommend to anyone looking for higher end catering service.

We had a taco party where all the food was dropped off 2 hours before to be reheated. Nothing was labeled and there were no instructions. We were able to figure out a couple of things but we definitely heated something that shouldn't have been heated. Maybe the food to be heated should have had foil and the cold things should have been cling wrapped? Something to make it easy for us. As there were no labels, we had to repeatedly tell people what we thought was what and what dishes we thought were vegan and vegetarian. I spoke to a few vegetarian employees who now tell me they only ate the salads because they didn't know what was safe for them Here is the reality, I never had anyone tell me they enjoyed the food, and we threw away more food at this event than we ever have. In the 10 years we've been doing these events, we've never had as negative a response to the catering as this year. Everyone did like the Jacama salad though. One thing I found interesting was I asked for a certain dish to not have cheese in it and was told that it is not possible. I'm not sure how that makes sense but I was told twice that it was premade, apparently weeks in advance? Or is it purchased from a supplier premade? I can't speak to their regular catering as it looks like many others enjoy their food, but I believe that the taco party is one to avoid. And definitely avoid the cactus if you do choose to have a taco party. It was really not very good at all. I think we could have easily prepared as good or better food for a lot less money and without a lot of effort. The taco party was a bust.
