Enjoyed the model trains here but tye rail car tours weren't super appropriate for our little guys so we couldn't go in them. I felt like the admission was a little steep for what we got but not terrible. Without the train car tours it's basically a small museum. Worth checking out but I wish we could have seen some of the cars without having to do a 45 minute guided tour.

Good tour. Be sure to know that getting the full monty tour of all three trains takes forever. The comparative train tour is not worth the cost. The only value to the comparative tour is the executive car that has housed dignitaries of the past. If you are into that, it may be worth it. Otherwise, the other two provide good value and solid education on the train cars.

If you're a railfan, a guided tour of the Canadian Pacific Railway 7-car 1929 Trans-Canada Limited collection in Cranbrook needs to be on your bucket list. The display of what the Golden Age of Rail Travel looked like for the well-to-do is remarkable not only for the equipment on display, but for the quality of the ongoing restoration. Our tour guide was excellent - he's been there for many years. I wish I would have recorded it.

Very interesting, exhibits holds beautiful wood work on train cars , the displays are very well designed for the era and the local area. There is something for every age whatever strikes their interest.

Great spot! Little one loved the model trains, I enjoyed the train (historical) tour and how beautiful the museum is. Great restorations, amazing ballroom/ hall & entrance. Fun Cranbrook historical facts - had no idea about escaped elephants! All staff friendly and helpful. We will return! Love the idea of all ages movie showings .
