Insanely beautiful. Clean cool water. Gorgeous beaches and rocky outcrops to hang out on. Still and calm in most places. Lots of great spots for canoeing, kayaking or stand up paddle boarding. The fishing is decent if you know where to go. There is a lot of wildlife, birds, beavers, otters and other random critters. There are several wonderful communities alone it as well. I love the Kootenay Lake and river. I go a few times every year and will continue to do so.

AMAZING! This lake is HUGE and provides great fishing (if you are lucky) great water sports and often calm waters. Great place to leave your worries behind for a week or two. Clean great water, surrounded by mountains, great private camping spots if you hike in or have a boat. Stop at Creston for fresh fruit in the summer.

This lake is a long stretched lake but not very broad one but has a deep depth. One of the best lakeside views which the visitors come here to enjoy. Absolutely nature fresh clean water, visitors prefer to swim here in the lake water. Restrooms are also available for tourists. This spot is also hikers favourite place. Best natural scenic beauty of this place. Sunrise and sunsets are awesome to watch.
