Very poor service. Very Disappointed considering the beautiful place and the potential for great service. One would think the service would be fantastic at such a gorgeous place for tourists that come from all over the world. The waitresses/girls that served us and our kids ice cream were unfriendly, and weren't even sure if they would be able to serve us ice-cream cones. In the end we all did get served but it definitely wasn't a pleasant experience.

Waste of money. Rude staff. Boring tour. Book elsewhere. We booked the "Ride and Surf" tour through the Boundary Ranch website. We got to the ranch in the morning and staff were already running late. We advised the front desk that we had booked the ride and surf and they did not give us any instructions about how the day would go. As we were waiting to get assigned to our horses, one of the members asked me if I have ever been on a horse before. I said no. They help me get on my horse and that's it. No instructions on how to stop, etc. The ride itself was boring. There is an old man that works there who is super grumpy and yells at everyone. Our guide hardly talked, and would yell at us if our horses stopped to eat. It felt like bootcamp or something. Beware - you are riding through manure.... the ride itself is not very scenic. Once we got back we had the Cowboy Lunch which was mediocre. We were waiting 30min to get our brownie. I walked up to the front desk and asked when the bus is supposed to pick us up for the rafting part of the tour. They told me that we had to drive on our own to the rafting portion - which is 30min away. Note - no one advised us of this via email or in person. We nearly missed the second part of the day! This ranch is overrated and the staff are miserable. Horses are starved. Please avoid.

We came here to do a little riding in this beautiful area. The staff was very friendly and the ranch is gorgeous. We paid for the two hour ridge ride and the first portion was amazing. However....we could not complete the route due to snow and ice on the trails. Which I completely understand. It's early May in the elevation and not everything is thawed yet. The last thing they need is horse breaking a leg. The issue is not with the route being impassable, but with the fact that we were not informed about it before hand. If the staff wasn't aware of the conditions (which I find VERY hard to believe) they should be checking it prior. I feel like boundary ranch was aware of the conditions prior to us stepping off, and played it off like they found out when we hit the trail junction. Another issue I had was the route we took back after being told the trail was too icy. Instead of taking us the way we came, we just followed HWY 40 all the way back to the ranch. Overall the area is beautiful, the staff was very friendly, maybe not too honest, but friendly nonetheless. It is my belief however that boundary ranch sold us a two hour ridge ride, knowing very well that portions of the route were impassable this early in the year. Also, they should consider allowing us to take a brief stop at the top of the ridge to take pictures.

It's been perfect day for horse riding. Ranch was clean and nice, horses (mine was Nakoda) well taken care of, views absolutely breathtaking. The only thing was...no one provided us with helmets. Not sure why.

Kind of a mediocre horseback riding experience. Nothing that really set them apart from others. Safety talk at the beginning was lacking at best. We had a good time but had this been our first horseback riding experience we would have been very confused. They do have lots of horses. We did the one hour buffalo loop ride...it was just meh. Not too many good views. Overall okay and mediocre experience overall.
