The staff, location, and free breakfast are great. The room itself was large with a nice balcony a lovely view and an amazing ensuite. It was a little hard to regulate the temperature. The on site amenities ( pub, common area with games and fire place) make for a very cozy and local feel. The #1 downside is the noise level. My spouse is a very light sleeper and we were woken up both nights by other guests making it to their rooms after 1 am. The nature of the building being a log cabin makes it so that you can hear every foot step

Had our wedding here June 2017. We had exclusive use of the lodge for the weekend. Working with the lodge was a breeze-they listened to what we wanted and delivered 100%. They were very relaxed and the whole wedding experience was stress free. The staff were amazing, very helpful and accommodating (brought our luggage in, and laundered our sheets when our toddler puked everywhere). They had cribs set up in all of the very spacious rooms for those who needed them. For the ceremony they set up everything and took down everything at the reception. The food served (we requested fancy burgers and bbq style sides) was THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD! We weren't a quiet group, but the building was very well insulated and even though we were dancing until 3am, our family that went to bed earlier were sleeping soundly through our shenanigans. The food, both at Corks Restaurant and the Saloon at Winston was delicious. The pizza in particular at the saloon was awesome. We cannot say enough good things about this location-accessible yet quiet. We will not hesitate to stay here again on our future trips!

We really loved this place. It's in a beautiful locale, but still really convenient for town. The room was huge and the jacuzzi tub overlooking the mountain was divine. The lodge has lots of little extras that made our stay even better such as the games room with pool table, the common room with roaring fire and the excellent selection of hot drinks. The only negative thing was that half of the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Overall, we'd stay here every night if we could!

The Winston is a pub, and the only casual restaurant currently open at the resort; selection is limited in the off season. The craft beer selection is limited but good. The menu items we tried were excellent. The poutine is meal-sized. The small pizza is enough for one person. I suppose bugs are unavoidable in this part of the world, but our table had half a dozen fruit flies hovering. Otherwise it was great.

Genuinely friendly & helpful staff. Incredible location within walking distance (5mins) of Kicking Horse ski area. Comfy rooms, shower OK, beds quite soft, parking. Nice lounge area with fire by reception (pic attached). Quite a varied breakfast. Hot tub wasn't available but there was a back up next to the building where breakfast was. Overall nice place to stay if coming to the area.
