Beaverfoot Lodge is one of my all-time favourite locations. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains at Golden, BC, the views are spectacular!! We visit every summer for our favourite music festival. We have been going every year for the past 4 years and will continue to do so. The grounds are nicely tended to and the glacier-fed swimming spots are perfect for a quick dip to take the edge off the hot days. Tucked away just off Hwy 1, this is the perfect getaway to truly commune with nature and unplug from city life. Love it here.

We had our wedding here and it was a horrible experience. Dealing with the staff was incredibly difficult, the facilities are run down and dirty. We spent an entire day picking up garbage around the property to try and make it more presentable. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Was beautiful scenery. The lodge is old and run down. No staff to help us. The mosquitoes were there by the millions. No food. No hot water. I will never go back. Waste of money.

This property has great potential and amazing views but was a huge disappointment. We attended a wedding here this past weekend and our stuffy room was dirty with bug bodies and mouse poop on the floor, and a soiled bedspread. Bathroom facilities are shared and did not seem to be cleaned overnight and there was no drinkable water - lucky for us the wedding hosts provided bottled water. Rooms do not lock but this was not a problem as our party had the whole facility booked. Despite booking in advance, promises made to the wedding couple regarding the facilities were not fulfilled and guests spent a couple days cutting down tall weeds in the ceremony and camping areas, shoveling horse poop, and cleaning everything with only sporadic help from the management and staff. The photos on the website do not reflect the current run down condition at all! The reception area in the lodge is dark and dirty and does not have any of the charm shown in the photos. One of the windows in this area was broken and replaced with a sheet of plywood. The screen on the door into the dining area was broken so there were flies and mosquitoes as guests tried to eat. The picnic tables on the front deck were rough and the paint was bubbled up and coming off. The horses roam freely on the property and road (hence all the horse poop) and they are friendly but their hooves look like they badly need the attention of a farrier. If you come with extremely low or no expectations, you might be fine here. Otherwise, do not book!

Such a poorly run facility. Attended a wedding and NOTHING was ready only a day before the ceremony!! Family and friends of the bride and groom had to do ALL the cleaning and preparations, staff were drinking and decided that the reception/supper was a good time to start building a fence near the pavillion! If you are thinking of booking a wedding, or any other event here, WALK AWAY NOW and count yourself lucky!!!
