We had a luncheon at Deer Lodge after our wedding ceremony on the lake a few months ago. I don't normally write reviews but I wanted to make an exception here as we were absolutely blown away by the level of service we received. While planning the lunch, the staff at Deer Lodge were quick to respond to our e-mails and their replies were always friendly and accommodating. Leading up to the day, even though we weren't doing a big wedding package with Deer Lodge, they still went over and above to make sure the day was special and went far beyond what we paid for in terms of service. The entire experience was fantastic - the restaurant has the most lovely ambiance (with lots of natural light streaming in, a contrast to other options nearby), the food was delicious and the wait staff were among the most polite and helpful I've ever met. Thank you so much! We can't wait to return for another visit soon.

We stopped at Deer Lodge following our 6 glacier hike. There we met Tim, who provided the greatest customer service I've ever recieved in my 56 years. The food was great too, a lovely beer, smooth soup and nice bread, but frankly we could have had beef jerky and been impressed, Tim was that great. If he is any indication of how this place treats its guests, you should stay there.

One of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed in. Hallways smelled, rooms smaller. Could barely breathe when I was there due to the abundance of mold that seemed to be throughout the hotel. The only good thing was the steak and wait staff. Beds were way to short along with blankets. Room was $289 a night and had a double bed, no tv(even though rental DVD were an option), Terrible plumbing, awful shower. Fit and finish of the room was also terrible. Basically a 1 1/2 inch gap at the top of the door allowing all the light in at night. Very noisy hotel. Can hear everything through the floors and walls. They also overcharged us. Rate we locked in was 259 and we had to pay 289 plus tax. Overall an extremely terrible experience. Will never be back.

Excellent for its location, literally less than 5 min walking from Lake Louise waterfront. Unfortunately, the hotel inside isn't that nice, very old, not updated/renovated in years, no A/C, no fridge/coffee machine/kettle in room. The food is good though Very good! The ladies at the reception were very nice and helpful!

Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to Lake Louise. Great for sunrise views. Restaurant was delicious and decent kid menu options, even though it was busy and we waited long for food. Rooms were a bit rustic.
