Such an unexpected hidden gem! Charming cabins are simple but exceptionally clean and well-kept. They’re restored to their original 1920s look but with added modern conveniences of instant hot water, electricity, and comfortable beds. Though we were unable to enjoy a fire in our fireplace due to a park-wide fire ban during our stay, we were still very happy with Storm Mountain Lodge. Views of surrounding peaks and valleys are tops. Lodge staff and waitstaff were especially welcoming and helpful with suggestions for hikes, providing bear spray, etc. Also: the food at Storm Mtn is not to be missed! Totally a surprise to us, but the dinners as well as cocktail and beer offerings were outstanding. Fresh locally-sourced ingredients plus a creative chef who serves up colorful, delicious meals. You will not be disappointed staying or eating here.

This boutique hotel is amazing, with cozy cabins ideal for a romantic getaway. There area is littered with hiking trails, so there's always a new place to explore. We had a few rain days, and found just staying in by the fireplace (there is supplied split firewood that will last you for days, more available at request) was also a nice unplugged way to spend some time, read books, etc. The tap water is from a spring and potable, so you don't have to worry about that. On site is the lodge, and the food is spectacular. The breakfast menu is set, but complimentary for guests. They also will sell sandwiches that are perfect for a picnic on any of the area hikes. The dinner menu is seasonal and I believe ever changing, and every single thing we tried was 5 star quality. The chef on site really knows his craft, and it's an amazing dining experience even if you're not a guest (reservations strongly recommended as there are few tables). There is a staff of 10 or so, all friendly and helpful. It was truly a perfect getaway.

Great get away! Good location between Banff and Lake Louise. The log cabin is very small but cozy, so once we were able to get our stuff situated we were more comfortable. Also, there is no A/C or fan. Just a fire place. We brought our own portable fan for air circulation and noise. Highly recommended as there's road noise until about 9-10pm at night. There's also no refrigerator or microwave as the cabins are run by generators. Be sure to plan meals accordingly as each town site is about 25 mins away.

We stopped in here on our way to Banff for lunch! It was so cute and quaint in the restaurant. The history of the lodge is so interesting, and the food was so delicious!! I had the bouillabaisse, and it was jam packed with seafood!! So yummy!

I didn't stay here but we stopped for a meal and were really impressed. The lodging looked great (would love to stay here next time we visit), the food was really well done and the view was breathtaking. The grounds are lovely and well maintained.
