So beautiful and unique. It's a magical Place .. The view.. The rooms. Die food is very good. Price is OK for what you become. It's absolutely worth it. I love it here and I really want to come back.

The resort is perched upon the picturesque western Canada coast. The name describes the black rough and rocky shoreline that the hotel sits over. The views can not be described and must be seen for yourself. The lobby is gorgeous and the unit we rented was a kitchenette suite with 2 bedrooms was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The resort has a proper hotel feel though and it is more busy than some of the smaller resorts that boast Oceanside cabins. The hotel does a lot of wedding parties and can be quite busy.

It doesn't get any better than this in terms of location. The room, overlooking the ocean is great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside, that can't always be anticipated is a handful of inconsiderate guests. There was a couple, in the closed pool near midnight, yelling and laughing loudly. There was also a small group, in a room below ours that seemed to have a little party going on. When I called the front desk the staff member was professional and quickly dealt with the issue. Though the "little party" took a bit of time to settle down. Having said that the Black Rock is really nice! We had a top notch dinner at the Fetch, the service was really good and the food was awesome!

Very nice and modern resort offers Kitchenette and comfortable spaces as well as a very nice large bathroom with option to open the window to a view and the room. Our room has a wonderful ocean view right from the bed. Staff is attentive and quick to respond to requests. Wonderful location close to town but still secluded and very close to the some wonderful tourist spots.

We did not stay at the Black Rock, but we did stop in for a breakfast on a quiet weekday morning. We thoroughly enjoyed the absolutely scenic location and the attentive service. The breakfast menu attempted to have offerings for every dîner-type. There were cereals, granola, eggs, toast, bacon, ham, and potatoes. There was even a quinoa porridge, and fresh fruit options. The kitchen was also quite flexible and willing to accommodate the further adjustments that we required. While we were at the Black Rock, we saw and heard several satisfied guests in the lobby, at reception, arriving and departing. We noticed a meeting in full swing w/a PowerPoint going in a meeting room that was on the second or third floor, and which also had an entire glass wall, so that between the elevation and glass wall, attendees could be continually distracted by their admiration for the coast line. Architecturally the hotel is stunning and organic in shape and design. Its curves follow the landscape and its use of glass helps visitors feel connected to the environs.
