I went to the lakehouse for their ice cream. It was good ice cream and nice service. They would benefit from having another till there (especially on the weekend) and the lines to pay were quite long.

Great food and drinks. Lakehouse feels like the social connection point for the community. Local bands, trivia night and more make this a must-go destination for those looking for something fun to do after an afternoon on the lake.

The lake house is at the former location of MacTavish's ice cream and lodging home. It has recently been renovated. We stayed there as we received a gift certificate from a family member. The accommodations are modest, similar to other locations we have stayed at in the Clear Lake Region. Although the room is equipped with an in room air conditioner, this only seems to provide cooling for the bedroom and not for the rest of the unit, even on a day when the temperatures or not very high. Breakfast is apparently included consisting of tea / coffee accompanied by pastry, toast or muffins. On both days, we were only offered muffins and told that there was no bread. We were never offered pastry. We stood in line for at least 15 minutes to receive our breakfast and no one acknowledged our presence until we're served. While waiting we had the opportunity to observe the staff preparing smoothies for other paying customers. Several different smoothies were made. At no time where the pitchers or caps rinsed with soap in between orders. At a cost of 214 per night in low season, I'm not sure that there is value in this location.

Lake House is a great year-round fixture in Wasagaming. In a town with few options in the winter, Lake House covers it's bases offering a variety of burgers, and an attached ice cream and coffee bar. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was casual. The menu choices are heavy and limited mostly to burgers and bar food. All-in-all a great place to stop when you're in the park.
