My wife stayed here in the spring of 2016. Upon arriving we drove around the resort for twenty minutes searching for a reception area, only to realize that there was none. We thought this was strange, as we've never visited a resort (or a motel for that matter) that does not have a front desk. We eventually parked at the on-site restaurant to try and get some directions. The restaurant was busy but the staff was helpful and apologized for the confusion. We were directed to our accommodations, and I said farewell to my wife. When I picked her up a couple days later, I was again surprised by what she told me. She said the rooms themselves were quaint if not slightly shabby. A good freshening up was certainly due, as was evidenced by the musty smell she described. On day two my wife again searched the (expansive) resort for a staff member to help figure out the heating system. She described it as a ghost town. She eventually figured it out on her own. She was dismayed to find out from another guest that there was no shuttle from the resort into town, which is a five minute highway drive away. There is also no taxi service in the area, so she had to rely on another couple with a car to go buy some groceries. This was not made obvious when we booked. She tried calling the manager several times and never received a call back. This is possibly due to the fact that there is very limited cell phone service at the resort. To make phone calls she had to walk to the end of the very long lane, sometimes in the rain, which is totally unacceptable for a lady in her sixties. Also wireless was not available. We were very disappointed with this stay, which was meant to be a getaway with friends for my wife. The rooms are overpriced for what is provided in terms of service and value. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed in the 3 bedroom Cottage in July and was was so comfortable, very clean, quiet and had everything we needed. Was also able to bring our dogs which was great! Beautiful view of the river, a bbq on the deck which was very convenient and where was quite warm out, had AC which did come in handy. I would go back in a heartbeat. Anyone who needs a getaway where are forced to relax and take in nature at its best would highly recommend it!

Beautiful grounds with lodging that has such an amazing country appeal and grace. Great hospitality and customer care. Great place to go away and spend with the girls or your family. Wonderful experience overall.

Loved this place!! Service and staff were wonderful! We were celebrating my Mom's 84th B'day and we couldn't have picked a better place. The water view from our cottage was beautiful, the boat tour of the Richibucto River was fabulous and the food at the Bistro was delectable. Dana came to our cottage in the morning to introduce herself and made sure arrangements were made to pick up my Mom and take her to the boat. There is no WIFI & limited internet service but you need to ask if you are there to spend time with your loved ones or your tablet!! Someone mentioned in a previous review there was no shuttle into town etc - you are in the country and there is a lot to be said for the simpler side of life. If you are there for a little R & R in the most peaceful surroundings ever, this is the place. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
