We stayed at White Point for a family celebration of my dad's 90th birthday. We were extremely satisfied with our accommodation (a 3 bedroom cottage and 2 separate rooms). We also accessed the beautiful lodge facilities, including the pools, hot tub and games room. There is very little beach this year, but thus is nature, and the shoreline is still stunningly beautiful. A few times we made requests (ie. a golf cart for a relative with mobility challenges) which were responded to very promptly and always with a smile. Our dinner in the dining room was our only disappointment. There appeared to be a shortage of staff (was this due to the wedding that was also taking place?), and service was excruciatingly slow. This was not our server's fault. I ordered an old favourite, meatloaf, which was dry and totally uninteresting, and the fish at the buffet was overdone. A 90th birthday is pretty special but sadly our dining experience did not reflect that at all. While the resort has so much going for it, I would recommend that much more attention be paid to the restaurant as it was not up to par with the rest of the resort experience.

I would give it 5 stars for the beautiful location on the Ocean and for being dog-friendly but... Although the Lodge itself is lovely and new, the cottages need some TLC. We brought teenagers for the Easter weekend and did some hiking but other then that there wasn’t much to do. There is an indoor pool and a small games room but they were being enjoyed by a lot of younger children. They really seem to cater to smaller kids which is great for younger families. I’m sure with nicer weather it would be more fun. The wild rabbits were cute and being able to bring our dog was a bonus. Bring snacks and pop/alcohol because they only have vending machines. Food was good at the restaurant and the buffets were ok. Definitely get the meal plan if you are going to be staying for a few days. It’s the most affordable way to eat there. Unfortunately, the waitstaff were not very professional. Our lunch was completely forgotten so we waited over an hour to get food. Plus our dinner waitress forgot some of our drinks AND my husbands dinner! We chatted with other visitors and many had the same concerns.

Visited here on an annual basis for many years. It has always been a positive experience. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Accomodations and grounds are very clean. Lots to do for the whole family. Can't wait for our next visit!
