Staying here is like being with family. It's so comfortable and breathtaking views. The food is delicious and Mel, Dave and Lilly know how to make you feel welcome. Definitely would come back.

A beautiful area of PEI. We stayed here on our last night and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. We walked along the coast line as far as we could and were blown away by the beauty. The entire staff at the inn are kind and respectful -- you can surround yourself with other travellers at dinner or enjoy a quiet evening with your family. We can't wait to go back!

We are booking a return visit to the Johnson Shore Inn. It's our favourite hotel in Canada. Great rooms with comfortable beds, spectacular views. Free coffee and tea downstairs and awesome breakfasts. And the best hosts one could hope for. Not a ton to do for the kids but there's a beach within walking distance and the sunrise/sunsets can't be beat. We love it there.

The view was outstanding - the shore is absolutely breath-taking, but I'm really sad we didn't experience the hospitality other guest have had. My wife booked us one night as treat and I know she was hoping it would be really special for me/us...we arrived at 3pm & we were really hastily greeted. It felt like we were an imposition. When we asked about dinner, we were told it was too late. (My wife mis-read and didn't realize that it had to be confirmed by 2pm). We were given a few quick suggestions, but without WIFI for the GPS (BE WARNED: cell reception is very spotty), we got lost and ended up getting a few cold items at a store, because we were just so tired & frustrated. When we returned there was a cocktail hour going on (I'm hoping only offered to the guests who had dinner as we weren't told about it), and felt super - uncomfortable walking in as the conversation lulled and we were not engaged/greeted in anyway...I can't help but wonder if we were straight, about a decade older or more conservative that things might have been different. Regardless, room was quaint & airy with a spectacular view & a seclusion that is amazing, which is what we ultimately came for. (Edited to add: Thank you for your response. We DID read the emails - I was not blaming the Inn for us getting lost - I was communicating that to others so they can be prepared..but we did NOT receive the same hospitality as others - that's just a fact. :) )

We had a wonderful stay at The Johnson Shore Inn. Mell and Dave are very welcoming hosts. The house is very clean and cozy. The sunset view is incredible from the front porch.
