My wife and I got married at Renaissance two weeks ago. We cannot say enough good things about this beautiful venue, the staff and the owners. The food was the highlight of the evening. We had a four course meal with Prime rib that was cooked perfectly. They were able to transition from dinner to late night without anyone noticing. The dance lights and bar right beside the dance floor made for a great late night. Our families are still talking about it being the best wedding they have been to. We would recommend this venue to any couple looking to hold their dream wedding. Denis, Paul and their staff are amazing.

We had our wedding at the Renaissance a couple weeks ago and everything from the space to the food to the staff was excellent! Denis and his staff are amazing at setting the space up and getting everything turned over for dinner and dancing. The bar tenders were so much fun with the guests and I can't say enough good things. We loved it!

The Renaissance Event Venue was originally a church until it's population declined and it was purchased by a private owner. It has a very good location on the north side of Queen Street with a small parking lot but lots of nearby metered parking. The new owner took advantage of the location and with a lot of TLC restored and converted the building into a banquet hall. He did an excellent job and was recognized for the restoration by the Frontenac Heritage Foundation at its annual awards ceremony. The Venue has a couple of large spaces for wedding receptions and other social events. It's a very pleasant building inside to view and has all the required facilities including a bar. I've been to the Venue several times over the past decade because its owner appreciated the award and now hosts the annual Frontenac Heritage Foundation award ceremony. On this occasion, four owners and the responsible architects / carpenters / craftspeople were recognized with formal citations for their role in restoring a Kingston and area building. When the formal occasion was over, the participants enjoyed many trays of delicious hot and cold delicacies wonderfully presented and served by very professional staff.
