The resort is nice. Placed in a great location. For the cost wasn't impressed. Liked the ability to dock at the resort. Very lacking ng in included amenities. I'd give it an average rating. Not bad but not great. Clean well cared for. Very helpful friendly staff. Good size rooms love the balcony on each room and the view of the castle on one side of the building.

Outstanding value, view of seaway, cleanliness, and friendly helpful staff. Imagine going to the door and the people manning the desk holding it open for you. Ask about wineries and everyone comes around and gives you a full review. Very helpful. The boat rentals and fishing guides are inexpensive and the local attractions and nearby town are great. Definitely sign up for their barbecue and banquet specials. Food is great and we'll worth the price.

We were so looking forward to celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary..have wanted to go to Alex Bay for years. Never did we expect what we received at this hotel! Mold inside and outside of our shower, no breakfast included as what is advertised on their website, Our door did not lock, the safe did not work, Extremely outdated, entrance red carpet to the hotel filthy, bathroom loaded with dust on counter tops, lights and door, no laundry bags (called for one and they said they do not provide), no TV directory, No local information on restaurants, churches etc., dining room service very slow and inattentive. Ordered a $32 Delmonico steak medium rare. It was 1/4 inch thick. Came all curled up on the edges--cooked beyond belief. Looked and tasted like the sole of a shoe. Very Very disappointing. Will surely return to the area but never think of staying here again nor will we recommend this hotel. Two nights at a $500 bill for what we received is terrible.

we stayed here for 3 nights in mid July. staff at check in were very friendly, quick and easy process. Upon entering our room I knew it was a mistake to stay here, although location was great, room was dingy and dirty! carpet was disgusting, I refused to take off my flip flops while in hotel room. huge nasty stains all over . furniture is super out dated, bathroom wallpaper appeared to have blood stains that someone tried to clean ( but as a mother and nurse I recognize it to be blood!- yuck) Bed was uncomfortable and had nothing more than a thin sheet (not even a fitted sheet) barrier between you and mattress. On back of bathroom door hook I found a hanger that was not ours, along with long black strands of hair. ( again, not ours, my family is all blonde) About 04:00am our first night the smoke alarm went off for low battery... (beeps every minute with 'low battery' verbally) super annoying and impossible to sleep through. now being married to a career firefighter I do appreciate the safety feature, however not at 4am. Maybe change the batteries before it annoys your guests at 4am. This hotel will need to remodel and clean before I would ever consider staying here again. Also no free breakfast as advertised... $20 per person...
