Had Bryston's cater our wedding recently and their service was the most disappointing part of our special day. We did appetizers and a late night luncheon which consisted of poutine, pizza, and sandwiches. The portion sizes where embarrassing and not worth the price they charge for them. The poutines only had about 10 fries in each (my kids had to grab 2 of them just to get a half decent portion) This made it look like we cheaped out on our guests when it came to the catering. We spoke to some of our friends that got married earlier in the year and found out we paid almost double what they did for their appetizers and luncheon. The food that was provided was tasty but was a tease. The service staff was sub-par forgetting to put wine glasses out on the head table and we had to ask them to bring them out. Also they ignored our guest while serving the appitizers only serving a couple of people at the table then walking away leaving our guests with a cold shoulder. We had our planner who is a family member get a hold of the owner to inform them that we had issues with the service and were not pleased and would like to speak with them when we had returned from our honeymoon. We where told that the owner got defensive after being told that we were not happy with the service. But when we spoke with the owner they did apologize but came up with the excuse that " we are not use to doing just appitizers and late night luncheons..." but I gave her a guests # . They didn't offer to give us any money back even though they charged 15% gratuity and 5% admin charge. We had also asked for their professional opinion prior to placing the food order and for our 150 guests they said we would have plenty. In the end we had around 120 guests show up and we all went home hungry. In conclusion their food was tasty but the poor service and the way they handle customer complaints is not acceptable. I could not recommend them to cater any event. We got way over charged for the very little we got. Thanks Bryston's for being the most disappointing part of our special day. ☹😠

Mel the owner is beyond rude will never admit any her mistakes.. you'll never see her smile. We had build your own poutine at the cavern 3 weeks ago.. she ran out of fries..and said she made 4 small trays of fries that should of feed 160 people the trays were 1.5 inches deep and 1.5 feet long..I only had 90 people in the hall at the time.. so their should of been more then enough..they are very stingy on portions and customer service is their last priority..we all rated her fb page and she took the reviews all down..I asked for compensation as this severely impacted our day..she said no way she'll be refunding me anything.. the plates she provides for the poutine buffet we paid her for was smaller then desert plates ..u could only fit 10-15 fries gravy was leaky off the plates..only about 30 guests got poutine.. the bride and groom got none she also brought the buffet out an hour early!! It's and it lasted 22 minutes..no way 160 portions she says she made can be served in that amount of time..it's the law under the liquor liscense to have food after 11pm when serving alcohol..I guess she has a fairy override card!!!..she also ran outta beer coffee and tea.. she claims she was at the hall all night to make sure all went well I keep catching her in lies.. she was actually at the beer store getting more beer..I no alot people in Sudbury so the truth does come out.. she wouldn't come talk to me the night my wedding when I requested one the servers to go and get her so I can talk to her about running outta fries.. apparently she said the servers never went to go and get her.. b cuz apparently the server saw how stressed and frustrated she was.... she's the owner she should have all this under control.. especially what they charge you expect the best! She finally offer me 201$ refund now that's a slap in the face after paying almost 900$ for that poutine she ran out of.. we had to also pay for the bar tenders she was making full profit off of.. and we had to pay them 15 percent gratuity and 5 percent for their own fee...they were the only people working.. the servers we had to pay for were never seen! Thanks brystons for running our day.. a sorry goes along way and she never has said sorry..I guess giving us 201$ bk is her way of saying sorry.. we des6alot more then 201$ she ruined that part the night! And her servers never picked up our plates or give us water
