Such a beautiful banquet with so much greenery! There was so many spaces to explore and take lots of pictures! The place had such a whimsical, yet rustic, vibe as there were trees everywhere that were also lit up. The food and service was really good too! Such a magical place to have a ceremony and reception!

Great place to hold any event. Very friendly staff. Very beautiful venue. Only downside is that it gets hot during the day but is expected from the name.

Nice venue. Saw mice next to the kitchen and bar during event. Would recommend if not worried about that. Lots of parking out front. Not a bad drive to find and was fast to get to from Toronto.

We got married at Madsens last month and every thing was perfect. Great caterer, DJ, officiant. Nothing was short of spectacular. We received endless compliments on the environment, the fairy lights, greenery etc. Ole and Lisbeth were wonderful throughout the entire process, our DJ Rick was great - accepted requests and played them quickly. The officiant we used was Jeff McQueen - also amazing, made things funny yet serious and very comfortable. Cannot thank everyone enough - definitely recommend Madsens for weddings.

Beautiful large spacious venue. Ole & Lisbeth the owners were very helpful and polite pertaining to all our requests, inquires and supporting traditions as it was an inter-cultural wedding.Very accommodating and flexible for setup and removal of decorations. The officiant was very patient at the ceremony rehearsal and took the time (more than once) to make sure everyone understood their roles and positions. Received positive feedback about every plate served from the guest, catering staff was great. The DJ Rick was very helpful when it came to cues and timing for the schedule he really helped keep things smooth until the end. The bar staff, kept up with the pace and poured responsibly which is very important IMO when having a liquor licence, they were well dressed and presented themselves accordingly. I only gave 3/5 would be 5/5 but one of my guest who is straight edge helped out at the end of the night to prepare booze and decorations for pick up the next day found unopened bottles on the “empties” cart, which would of been very costly have we overlooked it.I would really like to think it was an honest mistake considering how polite they were but reading other reviews indicating similar scenarios raised some questions. Just to explain my review: I would honestly give 5/5 to all aspects (venue, food, ceremony, just about everything)If it weren’t for that issue with the bar count and having read that others encountered the same. Just make sure you have all your counts in order and maybe appoint someone that task as the bar crew is non stop all night. I would recommend Madsens Greenhouse for your wedding!
