Julie Normandeau Review Julie was very helpful in the beginning stages of our planning. She help book the ceremony location, signed the contract, paid the deposit on our behalf and handled all the details with the ceremony location and booking. Julie helped ease the brides mind when it came to stressful situations regarding the bridal party and any time the bride need someone to discuss wedding situations or hiccups with. Julie was prompt with communicating through Facebook during the planning process. Julie made confident suggestions and helped offer her ideas when the bride and groom couldn’t agree on certain things such as adding decorations or wanting to do things a head of time. Julie was very patient throughout the entire wedding planning process. Throughout the planning process Julie offered numerous ways of communication such as email, phone calls, Facebook messenger and FaceTime. Julie made 4 home visits and 1 FaceTime chat. She booked and came to the wedding rehearsal without hesitations. She did well at trying to keep everyone on time and on task. On the day of the wedding, the groom and groomsmen showed up at the ceremony location around 12 pm to help with set up. Julie was waiting in her vehicle and advised the men the didn’t need to help with set up as it was already being done by the Estate staff. Once the ceremony began, Julie advised the bride and groom she would head over to the Reception to set up decorations and the bride and groom would be in the hand of her assistant. During the ceremony, Julie helped cue time and music and get the bridesmaids and brides ready and on task. Julie assisted with the brides dress and umbrellas. At the end of the ceremony, Julie was still present at the Estate. The bride and groom then headed to get pictures done at the Museum of Nature. When finishing up pictures the Bride and groom received a call from on of the bridesmaids over a concern about the seating chart, place cards and Julie’s tone and demeanour with family, restaurant staff and guests. The bridesmaid was very upset and distressed. Julie was then given the phone and told that the bride and groom were on their way to the venue to discuss the matter. The bride walked into the restaurant first to see Julie sitting at the bar with her assistant. When Julie saw the bride she walked over right away. The bride approached to hear Julie telling her assistant “Oh well it’s not my problem it’s not my job” unsure of what she meant the bride approached her to which Julie spoke first discussing the seating chart matter, invoking that the bride didn’t care just the groom. At which point the bride corrected Julie and stated “I care because my husband cares and he’s pissed”. To which Julie replied “ok I’ll talk to him”. Upon Julie speaking to the groom, the groom exclaimed that it wasn’t difficult to set up and directed staff to start moving tables. It was 5:00pm, reception started at 6pm guest were showing up and no decorations were set up. The bride and groom asked the bridesmaid to help with the seating chart and to do what they can. The bride and groom were not suppose to be at the reception until 6:30 pm. Bride and groom left in hopes that décor and setup would be done. Below is a list of things that were not set up or done by Julie Reserved for loved ones sign not set up even when asked by bridesmaid No photo booth No seating chart display No place cards Cake topper not on Reserved signs missing Lights with flowers not displayed Chair sashes missing Didn't refill any popcorn, chip bowls or cupcakes.- Didn't assistant with set up at reception.
