I have to go to Markham on business once a month. My day gets done by 4pm. Unfortunately the unit takes a well deserved break during 3:30 to 5 pm. So last trip I waited till 5 for it to open. The decor and ambiance are decent but this is not what this review is about. I am an Indian and have been in the restaurant business for the past 8 years and now run 3 independent (not shitimmies) cafes in Kingston. So trust me on my judgement of Indian curries. This place serves the best, freshly prepared food and you will not go wrong with any of their dishes. Also here is a big deal. This time we bought 3 different curries to go and had them over 3 days. Nothing went bad, no acidity. All masala is mild and flavorful. Also, if you get to know the owners a little better this place would feel like home.

I was invited for a weekend lunch. The buffet included several selections of meat and several of vegetables. All the dishes were delicious and had their own unique flavors. The naan bread was also very tasty. There were at least three or four selections for dessert... I only tried three of them, of which the warm gulab jamun was by far my favorite, with the rice pudding coming in as a close second. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a casual family outing and also well-suited to a larger group.

Recently went to an event in their banquet hall. The lights in the hall are not bright. **BEWARE they do not clean their utensils.** **Staff there has a bad attitude especially when you point out dirt on your plates and cups** **Food is terrible**

The place was not clean. By the taste of my food I can say for sure that it was not prepared by Taj chef Mr. Chauhan or by his apptentice or by the apprentice's apprentice. Not sure, why there is a need to lie & mislead people about Taj certificate. Coming to food, it took 45 mins for 1 dish & Naan to arrive. Saunf was spread over Naan; never had Naan with saunf earlier & for me, the experiment failed. Saunf is supposed to come after dinner. The great thing about the whole experience was- free parking.

I was there for a corporate Christmas dinner in December 2017(very late review). The girl staff was very helpful and patient as there were many dif kind of guests at this dinner requesting many dif options than what was originally confirmed by host. Owner did not hesitate but did above and beyond for instant changes of our menu. I still taste every flavours of this place’s dishes even after months. I can only think of this place when I think of Indian Cuisine. Must try!
