Nice setup for weddings. The owners are very good at what they do. They recently did a wedding of a friend. There was no worrying they were on top of situations before they were situations. Highly recommend these two and their services

Amazing venue! We had 80 guests which was the perfect amount for a reception in the barn. Anna and Brad are so helpful and easy to get along with, they provide many decor items from linens to center pieces to make planning much easier, they help with coordinating the day and make sure everything runs smoothly. There is plenty of room for a ceremony area, lawn games to keep guests happy while you take photos. There is also an outdoor cocktail bar! If you are looking for a rustic style wedding with a relaxed and fun atmosphere you need to book your wedding here.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not a family member and Anna did not ask me to write this review. Apparently things really went sour this year for Ellenview. I guess we got lucky and zoning etc wasn't an issue. Mind you they had just started doing weddings in 2015 and 2016. I bet as time went on, they realized they required more zoning etc. I just want to be clear that we had no such issues in 2016 when we got married. We had our wedding here on June 25, 2016. What a spectacular venue! We were looking for a venue that was rustic, elegant and could accommodate 70 guests. The day itself was exactly as we had envisioned. Anna and Brad are great and will help you plan for your big day. Ellenview Farm is perfect for smaller, intimate weddings. Thanks again!

Incredible, this venue is perfect. I really recommend going to see it. The family that runs the venue are incredible, way more helpful in every way than expected, they really made my wedding easy and amazing. There were so many decorations that you have access to that you do not need to bring anything. The lay-out is lovely. I researched a lot of barns in Ontario and I am so happy I chose this venue. There are so many perks to this place. I live in Toronto and found this to be a great place to hold a barn wedding. it is close enough to the city and extremely accommodating. You will not regret choosing Anna, Brad and Ellenview Farm

There is no rating for zero unfortunately.....Nobody should be considering using these people's service...ever. They are deceitful, untruthful and uncaring of people's feelings. My daughter and fiance were set on a barn wedding. They researched options. They wanted to stay local. We had some misgivings when we toured the barn...the property was not pristine and chances for photographs were limited. It sounded too good to be true in that they would co-ordinate and provide all for the day. They booked in July of 2016 for an October 2017 wedding. Fast forward to early June of 2017...prior to this my daughter was getting frustrated and angry as she couldn't get questions answered by Anna....we not only had to pay a deposit but by that point more than half of cost had been paid as they asked for payments every three months. Early in June a friend had mentioned that one of the wedding barns near Woodstock had been closed. We were never told directly - we found out on social media and a drive out to the barn to see the posting by the Township. And shocked to see that already in September of 2016 they had been warned by Township and actually officially closed down ON April 3 2017. They accepted 2 payments following the notice and one after they were closed. That is fraud....plain and simple. When Anna finally called my daughter back after I got involved she was told they had other plans, that were not barns to move weddings....you cannot just move someone's wedding! When my daughter said no thank you, just give us the money back, they were told they would have to "wait their turn". How on earth could they even find another venue and pay deposits when over half their wedding was paid for to these people? We also found out our caterer was not booked as had been promised. And to find a barn venue less than 3 months from wedding date? The stress and anxiety that my daughter was put through over the next 3 weeks I can never forgive. A simple phone call in September or even April could have avoided a lot. We sued. We found an absolutely gorgeous barn venue with an absolutely professional owner north of London who could give us our original date.....in hindsight I was upset with myself as it had been a first choice but we were worried about logistics. The property was ten times more gorgeous than Ellenview on a best day could ever be. We used our same caterer we had wanted and it was absolutely my daughter's dream wedding..our guests claimed it was best wedding they had been to and in actuality we ended up not paying much more than Ellenview would have cost. So Anna never responded to the Claim...surprise. I noted her in default and requested a hearing (mini trial). I requested and received not only all we paid but a lot of the costs of moving the wedding as it was a fundamental breach of contract....Anna could no longer offer the service she had contracted and as a result the Judge confirmed Anna and Brad were responsible for our costs. The judge rendered written reasons which will be on file at the Woodstock Court House. I was successful in garnishing the total judgment in one lump sum. My daughter and her new husband never wanted an elaborate wedding. They wanted a fun barn wedding and they wanted to cover all the costs themselves. Having to try to plan a wedding and fight for something you shouldn't have to is not right. Luckily for my daughter I work for a very large law firm.....other people who were taken advantage of maybe were not so lucky and walked away. Anna believes she can get away with it. But this is a small community and people talk. I heard after the fact from certain vendors they used that there were a lot of issues at weddings through 2016....wish those reviews had been posted. Please please do not trust these people. We had specifically asked if they were permitted, inspected and zoned and they outright lied. Honestly there are so many other reputable barn wedding venue owners in the area who go above and beyond please do your due diligence when interviewing.
